Zoel i am pretty sure when your cam belt skips teeth it will lower your performance... i had the same problem but didnt know till my mechanic had a look. he told me that i had skipped 4 teeth. as a result i had a huge loss of performance and my exhaust was much much softer...

Hey BYBY how do you get engineering certificates? if you have them can a cop still defect you cause i heard if they want to be dickheads they can with or without a certificate... what can you get certificates for?

Hows it going george... Yeah rac33r go with into sound they do a top job!!! I paid $700 for my alarm system and all seems to be good... i had a few ppl look at it after and all said it was done well. as George said give 'into sound' a call and speak to David cause i am more than sure he can fix you up for a good price.

Yeh met blue i know... my car is havinng a full engine rebuild cause it stuffed up about a month after i bought it. and so far it has been with my mechanic for just over 3 months. i thought since im having a rebuild i may as well go with forged pistons cause i hope to do lots of future work to the engine.
BYBY i will give unique a call to see what they say.
Also since u guys got your forged pistons in, what kind of horsepower difference did you get? do they improve he performance or just strengthen?

Thats pretty bad luck METBLUE... lol oranges... are JE pistons any good? i have a budget of about $2000 max, hopefully a bit less. Thanks killerT can u please let me know and bye bye where canu get these JE pistons and how long do they take to arrive cause apparently most pistons must be imported from the states?

Hey i have had my car in for a rebuild for some time now... i have firstly waited some time to get some parts from japan which are needed. also my mechanic has been looking for a set of forged pistons for me and he came up with "Wiseco" being the best for price and quality... anyway i have been waiting for these pistons to be sent from the USA now for 3 months (its a fu@#ing joke). anyone ever had these problems or know of any place where i can get a set of these pistons asap? any help much appreciated

HUSTLR i was in a mates car so no plate... My car is a black skyline r33 with plate XXW069 so if you see it say hello. I spoke to a cop last night and he pretty much told me that there was a big crackdown on everything and it was called "operation viking".

I know what you mean!!! last night i was cruising down george st and around the city... i have never seen so many cops and highway patrol cars in m life. There was about 1 highway patrol every block or 2 blocks. i didnt see any defecting when i drove by the rocks... where bouts were they doing it? coppers prob decided it was time to have a big crackdown on modded car etc...?

Dont they all glow the same? i see some cars and the whole backlight of the gauge illuminates like a mobile phone... do the autometer ones do that or do they just have a little backlight that glows a bit and you can see the do where it is?

Im in the process of buying a boost gauge for my r33 and just dont know what to get... is it better to have the readings in PSI (autometer) or BAR (jap brands) ???

I dont criticise illegal street racing or anything cause i am a major contributor to this but for god sakes!!! There is a time and place for everything isn't there. not on the highway where you have to dodge cars etc...
Anyways if they think thats a GTR they must be smoking the most POTENT chronic on the earth... I want some!!!

Anyone read yesterdays paper (3/8/02) ? or know what happeded? Apparently some guy in a Skyline was racing his cousins CRX, dodged a taxi, went airborne over a median strip and into a telegraph pole snapping it in half... I think all of this and the Ferrari incident will lead to a huge police crackdown on street racing etc...
