  1. It's hard. My RS4S came with no blank plate (just above the ashtray - where the cup holders go in the autos) & the bottom trim of the radio surround trim shaved off. I bought the blank plate new from Nissan $93 (I think) ex Japan & managed to find the radio trim on here. If you need the blank plate part # let me know. The radio was $200+ new!!!!!!!

Yeah. I will grab it off you if i can! Thanks.

  2. Hey Guys on the GB - I have a spreadsheet from Andrew with your names, contact info and what your order consisted of but I have no info on whether they are to be shipped to you or if you'll be picking up. They're all here and ready to go so if you're waiting on yours to be posted out, I'll need to organise that direct with you. I'm trying to work out a cheap, but effective method of packaging these so that muppet couriers don't ruin them - no mean feat given how long and fragile they are!

Please send me a pm to let me know if you're coming to pick up, or need them posted and I'll get it all sorted :)

To the guys who have already picked up, thanks a lot!

Ready for delivery when ever you are!!! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

  3. Hmmmm....it does happen, but not often - so I don't beleive it is a general design issue.

There are 3 factors I can think of:

    * The nylon bush will wear as you shift (as it is designed to). Did you fit a brand new one (I assume so, they are about 3c to buy)

    * How you shift - speed and harshness. Also, if you have a "short shifter" that is bound to wear it faster too

    * Is your knob worn? It may be worth replacing the whole shifter, for all you know it may have been abused before you got it. The knob should sit very snugly in the bush.

The Nylon Bush was brand new. The diff and drive-line mob repaired and installed it.

Both times it has happened, I was shifting from 1st to 2nd rather harshly. So I am putting it down to operator error!

As its happened twice now. I am thinking it'd be worth replacing the gear stick too. Luckily this time it happened, I was 300m from my house so I was able to sneak it home in 1st gear. Last time i was at the wrong end of the Putty road!!!

Do you think these metal Cusco ones would be better to use than a Nylon one? As far as less chance of "falling off"...

  4. Well its happened again! This is the second time it happened! The first one mentioned above that fell off the gear stick disappeared into the depths of gear box and was forgotten about for several months UNTIL it found its way into the transfer case and got stuck in there making a terrible knocking noise as it went around as I drove. At first I thought it was a chipped tooth on the front diff. But after taking it to a drive-line specialist they found the bloody nylon collar jammed in the transfer case.

I am thinking of giving the metal Cusco one (that's pictured above) a try, but I am scared about the consequence's if this also decides to depart the gear stick and get into the gear box.

    A couple of questions are:

Why am I having this problem?

Is it a common problem with R33 GTR drive-lines?

Has this happened to anyone else more than once?

  5. Hi all,

The latest update is still as above, i.e. that Nissan were making new weather shields to complete the order. I will contact Import Monster to find out where everything is at.

You're all also welcome to contact Import Monster directly (PM or [email protected]). If you identify that you're part of this group buy, I am sure that Aaron will be more than happy to help.

    Thanks mate!

  6. I've contacted Aaron from Import Monster and he is going to look into pricing. He sounds pretty confident, so fingers crossed that we'll get this off the ground!

Major pita with these is the length and fragility meaning air freight is expensive AND risky. Container freight will be cheap and secure, but slow. Leave it with me guys - I'll get it sorted :)

    :woot: THANKYOU GUYS!! :woot:
