You'll be sold on the whiteline kit, i had the bars and bushes fitted 2 weeks ago, loving it!!!!!! I reckon get those and a cheaper ecu. Orrrrrrrr save up for another 12months get everything you want in one go, modding is addictive.

Just gotta find a free day to get it set up.

Yeah have been looking into that and youre right, but............ its gotta be a 4 door so it limits my options, otherwise id have bought Dans RB25/30 GONER GTST. There is a 4 door Impul racing R33r forsale on Carsales, its up for 12k and making 177kw. Its done over 200k and works out to be $4000 more than i bought mine for and id still have to spend a bit to get it up to 250kw, plus a few car buddies of mine have asked ''what are you going to be inheriting?'' Its an age old car dilemma!!! The garages that have serviced mine (put bits on) have said its in fantastic condition, plus the baby seat is in it and its a PITA to take out and put into another car!!!!!haha

Had the compression checked today 160 165 160 160 170 170. The mechanic said its a pretty good base to start from. Now to phone Hypergear!!!!

Yea that power through the front wheels was only usable in 3rd+, 1st and 2nd would just spin the wheels and not in a fun slidey controlable way. SargeRX8 id be selective changing bushes, one of my experiences is making a saab crashy and less fun to drive by putting too many poly bushes in. Unless its a track car that is.

Lilcrash maybe we should get a group purchase going?!?!? Its got standard suspension, but the shocks were replaced with new KYB ones about 12months ago. I've had the diff shimmed, was thinking id get front and rear whiteline sway bars.

Ive read somewhere that you have to use an R32 ecu to run the Niztune, is that right? Gotta keep the 4 door because of the baby!!!!! And i dont mean the wife!!!! I had it when i lived in the UK. It was a 9000 Aero, 225hp from the factory, the performance software to remap the ecu is on the net, a guy in the SAAB club had the computer leads to reflash it. I got a 3inch downpipe and went to 276hp at the front wheels with 330nm of torque, all for the equivilent of $400. The car cost the equivilent of $1200. For the money (in the UK) nothing on 4 wheels is quicker. Youd be happy with this.............

$3200 was for the turbo including fitting, still seems expensive thou. He didnt say what turbo. Think the ecu was a link. Getting the handbrake sorted tomorrow, also thought id get the engine compression tested so i dont end up polishing a turd!! Thanks for your input guys.

Hi Guys, Im pretty new to the scene, been trawling the club sites to get an idea about which direction i want to go in regards to tuning my 4door R33GTST. Ive got about $5000 to spend and looking to make about 250kw with boost coming on early and oooodles of torque (please). Ive had modified SAABs before and was/am disappointed with the power of the Nissan. Ive spoken to a few tuners and im also disheartend at the fact ive been told to get that power its going to cost me about 8.5/9k thats more than the car!!!! Thats for: Turbo $3200 Engine man $2000 Injectors $1000 IC $1000 Clutch $1000 Fuel pump $250 Already have exhaust and Apexi AVCR. My own research has led me to believe i could get the Turbo, Engine Man and Injectors for about $3500. I didnt think 250kw was a big ask but for that money i might as well get a better car. So...........any ideas?!?!?! Reasonable tuner? Reasonable parts? Thanks for youe time. Cheers Simon

Hmmmmmmm i sound old, cats were manditiory in the UK in the Early 90's, but i dont remember having sore eyes before then or anyone complaining about it. What i do remember is a Rover catching fire because the owner parked in long dry grass and the heat off the cat ignited it. So decats are safer!!!!haha
