  1. Someone say that it is the Turbo Leaking the oil which may need to do Turbo reconstruction ~anyone experiences that before??Looks like it can cost 2.5k to do tht.
  2. Hi, I am wondering wt inside Intercooler, is it oil or coolant?? I mean if its coolant, its not make sense oil on it rite?
  3. As the topic say, the intercooler hot pipe got some oil leaking from there....don't kw much about that part, but is it leaking from that part or other??Coz i can see the oil dripping from that part.
  4. Hi guys, Is it worth to keep a skyline 93 Auto GTST?The 93 Auto skyline i just bought need to replace brake n suspension which cost me like first time major service ($XXXX) Fee. Please give me some opinion whether it is high maintainance car or not. I mean i just treat it like a normal car use. But just becoz it is 93 model, a bit worry how much it will cost me the next few years.THX Guys.
  5. Thx for yout time typing this. After reading this. I feel a bit confident to keep it. Coz i used to have sport car around 97,98 and never have any problem. Just becoz this time i got a 93 model and feel a bit worry~lol~but yea, you are rite, I mean i use my car normally, shouldn't be any drama. And the GTS25T engine is pretty strong, don't they?
  6. Yea,price is similar to most of the place, I just check it. is it worth to pay off or just sell it...tht's wt i really want to know. If the 93 models car running ok with less maintainance after i fixing it. Tht will be great.
  7. They charge me that much becoz they have to change the Front Arm Burshes (400), Outer Tie Rod End (150), Rear Shock (550), Front Brake pad and rotor (600), Coolant flush (120), Steering oil flush (100), Brake fluid flush (100), Fan belt change (180), Re-alignment (70)....Well,its like a really big service to the car....and i have ask many ppl opinion about it. It just cost too much to fix. But I mean, after i fix all this, there maybe other problems raise up. So, thinking of is it worth to keep it~
  8. Hey guys, I just bought a Skyline R33 GTST 93 model. I bought it in a good price, however, when i go service check for my car, it estimately cost me like $2000 for the intial fixing cost. Mainly is the suspension and brake system. It is a 93 model, it makes sense that it cost so much in the maintain. I would like to know is it really worth to keep it for a long run? I just use my car for normal run. I really don't want to pay too much in maintainances after i pay that $2k for a major service. Any opinion guys??
  9. Hi, just one thing i am worrying about now. My friend is a mechanic and he told me that if i not changing the split outer tie rod ends and the caster arm bushes, my car can lost control very soon (meaning no steering power) and the worst case is the wheel can come off. Is that true???
  10. Thx for all you guys supporting~I think i will sell it at last. I mean after I pay for 2k in my 93 Skyline, I don't mind, but other parts may start having problem as it is a 93 model and every parts get wear. Do you guys pay high maintainance fee on Skyline series 1 model???
  11. Its a big help for me. Thx a lot. The tie rod end boots is quoted as a new one. They said it is split. The Front caster rod bushes..can you tell me what equipment do i need to fix it by myself?? They put the wheel nuts real hard...I kw all the equipment won't be cheap...i mean at least cost me $300 to buy the set. But i just can't unscrew the nuts with a manual spanner.haha, maybe need a electronic one. The Rear Shocks....that's the hard bit...I don't think i can handle this part as it has many steps. The Brake is the standard one as they said...If i can unscrew the wheel, I would rather do it myself as well~
  12. Thx a lot mate. It is so useful to me. Just the cost is a bit too expensive ($1600 just the suspension parts), I still can drive normally if i don't change the suspension right? I mean the diff will be only a bit hard to turn and control the wheel..but it won't make my car go diff direction worst to worst, is that true???LOL
  13. Hi Guys, I need some help here. I recenly bought a skyline 93 GTST. I just brought my car to Autobahn today and they list the problem as below which is the most expensive things---Suspension and Brake: Oil Leak from motor cost $95 just to wash the motor and further cost of changes. Both outer tie rod ends boots split---$330 Front Catsre Arm Bushes split---$500 Rear Shocks leaking, replace---$535 Brake Pad and Rotor Change---$500 Its like costing me more than $2000 (as i still haven't mentioned others) My Question is Does outer tie rod ends boots, Front Catsre Arm bushes and Rear shocks have to be changed? If i don't change, is that still ok to run?? As far as i know it will just affect the wheel alignment and a bit uncomfortable. Also, Is that worth to pay $90 just to wash the engine and inspect where the oil leak is??? Be Honest, Its not really that serious leaking, so is that common in most of the skyline?? The Brake pad and rotor is ok for me to change as it is the common things... Please help me...i just want to know is that worth to change the whole suspension system or its ok for me to run normally on the road. Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!!!
