  1. oh, also, my wife just recently purchased a 2006 WRX club Spec 9 it is a good car, fairly punchy and grips nicely, but it just doesnt feel anywhere near as exhilerating to drive!! plus, theres one at every fkn corner! i double say go R34 yep
  2. I own a 4 door R34 and have for 18 months (i had a 180sx for 7 years prior) I can honestly not say anything bad about the car, theres not going to be anything worse than any other car you can buy for the same age. You are most likely going to need to change things like hoses in the engine bay, fuel pump, water pump, bushes, etc etc just the same as any other car thats 12 years old and as long as you look after it youll get good life out of the car. The more you modify the car to get more poiwer, obviously the more petrol youll chew through. as long as you can afford to spend 80 bux to fill the tank every week or two (depend on amount of km;s you do i guess!) and can afford to spend money on service every 5000km - 10000km aftermarket parts arent too hard to come by, most things you can get hold of in Aus Just DONT SKIMP on quality parts if youre replacing something, youll regret it later! theyre a great car, youll enjoy it! and if worst comes to worst you can always sell it and buy something else!
  3. someone said 2 door vs 4 door R34 can also has 4 door, i has one it is mint get one
  4. you might not realise but this thread was started in 2003
  5. thanks for the pic! i did find that one but it was a tiny tiny pic so thankyou! i will post some pics up when its finished / in progress probs wont be for a while though! a lot of work to go into it. im not going to do that exact pic either, im gonna do a different angle from just infront of the rocker cover/cam shafts it will be tricky! but what i got in my head should look pretty killer heres a different one i did if anyones interested thanks again !
  6. Hi all, this is a slightly strange question, (i have already asked in another section but thought this might be a better place?) I am after some diagrams or pictures/schematic blueprint style pictures of RB 25/26/30's I require them for reference material for a tattoo i am doing on a good friend, and unfortunately i cannot use a camera to see into my engine!! something along these lines any help would be greatly appreciated! (:
  7. Hi all Does anyone here know of any places I can get my hands on any diagrams, pictures, schematics of internals for a RB25/26/30? Turbos too if you have any handy (they shouldn't be too hard to find I reckon) I need some reference pictures for a tattoo I'm doing so anything will be helpful!! Thankyou all
  8. cool thanks man! i greatly appreciate it the radiator isnt very thick at all, so i might look at getting a gtr one, should be fairly easy to fit i imagine??? i removed one from my old 180sx once and that wasnt too hard so it cant be too different can it?! we'll see what the mechanic says thanks again bubba
  9. ok, that doesnt sound too bad. is it possible the warning light is calibrated slightly low? cause it has never come on before that ive noticed?? i will still get the mechanic to check cooling system make sure its all ok. thanks for your reply bubba!
  10. Hi guys, Ive had a bit a of a search and found some interesting points, but i wanted to get some situation specific responses. Ok, so ive got an R34GTT with a Neo engine in it, Its had quite a bit of mods to it, if you like i can list ? some basics (cam, exhaust, intercooler, injectors, fuel pump, k&n pod, pfc, etc etc) standard radiator and fan im sure ive just noticed yesterday while driving it around that the warning light on the water temp gauge was flashing (apexi water temp gauge) when the water temp reached 90deg C Im not 100% but Im pretty sure it normally sits around 82-86deg C, and yesterday was the first time ive noticed it do this before. It was about 36degC during the day. I did notice that it got higher temp sat in traffic or at lights, and while driving dropped to approx 88, i dont think the air con made a real difference whether it was on or not. this leads me think perhaps thermostat, or radiator or fan are an issue? It didnt get any higher than the 92 deg C, but I am worried that there might be a problem that if left untreated could cause some serious damage to the engine. It is going for a service on monday next week but i dont want to kill it before then if its a problem =\ any pointers would be great!
  11. iu had a lady drive in to me in a car park while i was in the car stationary, about a month ago. i literally picked it up from the spray shop 10 mins earlier, the car was finished, complete, done, then BANG she got out and came over and promptly said "looks like were both at fault here" i said clearly not, got her details, though she made it clear she didnt want to go through insurance, so i got necessary parts and quote for paint and she just paid to cover the cost. feel sorry for you though bro! =\ such a shame
  12. ive had insurance with just car for over 6 years and i just upgraded from a 180sx ($12000) with a premium of about $900 and now i have a R34 4 door which owes around 35k but they will only insure for 19k and a premium of only 1100 and they wont do an agreed value, its crap. im worried that shannons is going to want over 1500 a year too =\ thieves!
  13. i have a baby seat in the back of mine, fits in the middle fine, i doubt you would fit 3 baby seats across the back however but you might fit one baby seat and 2 boosters, we have another on the way and i only have a centre anchor point, gonna have to retro fit the others back in i guess!! see how we go, the previous owner removed the 2 side ones to put awesome speakers in lolz i reckon i can drill a hole in the back of the parcel shelf directly above the screw hole for the side ones and get an anchor point in!
