  1. Hey mate would you consider taking $100 for the front bar? Pay and pick up asap
  2. But me thinks it's a little over kill... It costs more than the car would be worth- oh wait, that's YEN!
  3. Thanks everyone, some good advice for both options. I found this one, same as mine on ebay http://www.ebay.com....#ht_1989wt_1037 Probably easier to just get it new and have it sprayed. Maybe? And for those that asked, it's a R32 Gtst 1991 Anyone know a good spray painter in the SE Melb area?
  4. Firstly- YES I am a girl and NO I have NOT smashed my R32... I've done: some touch parking up to a caravan tow ball, misjudged where the garden sleepers were actually located and nose scraped on some badly designed driveways. All in all the bumper has never been ripped off or left abandoned on the freeway, I'd say so far so good... :-) There are cracks in the gel coat because I can see the fibreglass inside. Oh and I think the bumper lining is farked because it's really wobbly and rubbing on the front left wheel. Hang on, let me get pics :-) My question is what is the best way to fix this? Will a good spray painter do it or is it a job for a smash repairer? PLEASE HELP!
  5. Now I'm not totally sure that is what it's called but that's the best way I could describe it. If anyone knows the ACTUAL name it would help me find the part! See the pics for what I mean- the small insert-y bit on the stereo surround that the shifter boot clips in to. Please ask me questions if it's confusing- I'm a girl without the proper language for this kind of thing :-)
  6. Got one from fatz. thanks- this thread can be closed :-)
  7. Thanks, I'll try these guys in Melb but will let you know how it goes. Cheers :-)
  8. Yep, totally have all wheel STEER mixed up with all wheel DRIVE! So it's confirmed I have a Gtst (as originally suspected) given there is a turbo gauge in the top left of dash. That was easy :-) Thanks everyone.
  9. Hi everyone, I've gotten myself very confused by reading every ones ideas on telling apart the R32 Gtst from the R32 Gts4. SO now I think do I own a Gtst or Gts4? How would a girl (myself) be able to know the difference by spotting a few give away signs without knowing the chassis shape or mechanical stuff like that? Here's what I know: the Gtst is turbo and the Gts4 is AWD but my car is a 1991 RB20 turbo and has HICAS- how confused am I! Also, the compliance plates have named it a R32 GTR, what the?! So if there is anyone who can give me some idea what to look for, that would be great.
  10. Hi all, Chasing the stereo surround for my R32. See pics- inc shifter boot surround (it's all one piece, some knob painted it gold) Thanks :-)
  11. Ok, So I've taken a pic of what I mean- perhaps it's NOT called a 'centre console'. Some knob who owned it before me painted (or texta'd) this bit gold... and the black surround that the shifter boot clips into is BROKE! So hope this helps anyone who may have this bit please let me know, Thanks :-)
  12. Hi All, Has anyone got a centre console to fit my 1991 R32 Gtst? It needs to be in good condition or at least have the clips for the manual gear boot to click into. Pref. black... Does it even come in other colours? Don't know. Also, are there other models that will substitute for this? Any help is appreciated :-)
  13. Hi All, I hope someone can help- Here's the deal. FIRST JAP CAR EVER... so please understand, not a mechanically minded girl- (unlike my auto elec.) and I know nothing about this beauty except it used to drive good but now it's broken-ish. Recently bought a 1991 R32 GTSt which was privately imported- not by me. To transfer into my name it needed to be seen by an import mechanic for RWC. Since they have had it, they have done an arm full of things to it blah blah blah and all I know is it plays up regularly with us but has never done it with the Auto elec there. We give her the symptoms and she has the car for a day or 2, charges us a couple hundred bucks for replacing this or that and within the next 24hrs the car starts doing the exact same thing. Symptoms include: First the car starts to cough whilst driving- just a little miss in the acceleration (feels like an air pocket) Next there is a drop in power and revs so you have to gear down. When you resume acceleration and it hits 2500 rpm the car starts bucking- all gears do this until you have to stop the car or stay below 2500 rpm. Then whilst you're idling the engine is hunting through the 2000-3000 rpm range and then stalls. What we know: Car was running perfectly before current mechanic fiddled with it to make it 'roadworthy'. Replaced old ECU because they didn't have the cord to connect up with their system. Re- routed intercooler hoses to be 'stock' as old set up was running up and over the wrong way. car has a tempremental immobiliser that sometimes activates whilst driving. No error codes come up on ECU when we return it to the mechanic. Sometimes turning the car off and waiting 5 mins, resolves the issues and she drives perfectly without missing a beat. This problem is regular but intermittant if that makes sense? It can be driving fine then happen or it can happen and then drive fine. I have read some stuff about this type of thing having to do with the MAFS? or a leak in the intercooler or possibly something else. PLEASE HELP! I just want to be able to drive her.
