  1. Car now has a holding deposit & I'm awaiting payment of $6500 from work mate in 2 weeks time. In the unlikely event that it doesn't get sold, the car will be up for sale again in 2 weeks time. Cheers
  2. I have an offer of $6300 to sell next working week to a work mate who has insurance money being processed. So if anyone wants to beat that by any price, the car is yours. $6300 is the absolute rock bottom price I will part with it for. $6400/$6500 is an absolute bargain for a genuine Series II GTST Manual with genuine KMS and 7.5 months rego and very good mods!! I paid $7600 after negotiating for it not that long ago. You can barely find a neat AUTO series 1 for $6000. INSPECTIONS welcome once again as I have had NONE so far and I am located pretty damn good for anyone even close to sydney or south coast even. 50 mins south of Sydney airport areas. 30 mins from Wollongong. 40 mins from Penrith. Car will be sold for anything down to $6400. If you're interested MAKE AN OFFER or miss out.
  3. Hey mate, basically only after a cash sale, but no harm in making an offer. What type of car are you referring to?
  4. negotiable on price close to wollongong, campbelltown, southern highlands for inspection All reasonable offers considered MUST SELL
  5. Not sure what the go is, but i can't edit this original ad above. But the price is $8000 neg make an offer

This car was unregistered for nearly 1 year, living in the garage before i bought it and was only registered for me to buy it. It has been treated very well and is very neat for a 15 year old car! Reason for sale: I only drove this car on weekends basically and I have since started a new job as a freight train driver. As this is shift work, I rarely have weekends off to drive it these days. It is a very genuine neat R33 that will make an excellent reliable car for whoever buys it! Asking $9500 ONO Reasonable offers considered, but if you don't have anything even close to that mark please don't bother contacting me trying to haggle a bargain. SERIOUS/GENUINE buyers only. 7. As topic states, I need a 100% WORKING power steering pump for series II (not sure if there's a difference) R33 GTS T. Willing to pick up from areas near Campbelltown, Southern Highlands, Wollongong or anywhere reasonably close to any of those places! Just bought one on ebay for $70 and it was a totally different pump and pulley - I got jipped hard! Let me know if you want to part for one and your lowest price for me to pickup this weekend from you. Cheers, Josh
  8. Sorry. this was meant to be posted in the 'wanted' thread. I have 2 windows open. Can delete - My bad.

  10. 3 days ago i went back to standard airbox from pod. My piping induction that bolts into airbox is not completely pressure sealed now. Its just pushed in the best it can. If this connection is not air tight, could it cause a stutter under load?
  11. hey i know this sounds common but it is not the plugs or an air leak. I have a s2 gtst and i regretfully drove it to newcastle yesterday. On the way up it started stuttering when u slightly even put ur foot down in any gear and the boost gauge drops and spikes irratically the harder u go. It now also has a strange noise which SOUNDS to be coming from top of motor. Like a scraping blocked air sort or noise its quite hard to describe. But when i listen to the turbo timer cut out with my head near turbo it winds down smoothly. I got a full tank of fuel b4 my trip from near empty tank.. I hav a walbro pump and splitfire coilpacks and 2000km old irredium plugs. I think this noise is connected Im sure it will make the 300km trip home but just curious what u think it may be. Any suggestions appreciated. Car runs 11.5psi daily with usual mods
  12. As far as I know, they all got sorted for the piston slap. A small minority had larger issues. I'd say if it's running fine after 14 years it's probably not worth asking the question.. Never had a problem with my vt gen III. Best V8 i've had!
  13. Thanks for all the advice man. OK so, Ive never dealt with a compression test before but is this done by giving the cylinder head to a specialist or do they need the whole car?? Because obviously the car isnt going anywhere. So hopefully your answer is that they only need the head once I remove it . So even if I was to fix this current motor, it would be around $2000 for a possible new head and or block, plus radiator if I did all the labour myself and got it tested somewhere too? It's not major money by the sounds of it. I just can't see the point of buying a new motor (no matter how cheap it is) because then you'd be tempted to fix the old one anyway. Waste of money having a broken spare sitting in the shed! Thanks again mate!
  14. nah mate haha thankfully not.. 2nd hand GTR heads worth about $1000- $1500 roughly or can you get lucky and find them cheaper? You'd have to just pull it apart and take it step by step a guess. Is it gonna be obvious if the block is the issue aswell? It would be the worst if I replaced the head and gaskets, put it back together and it still has issues!
  15. ahhh spewin.... not sure of engine oil amount left in engine.. havent dumped the sump yet or had a chance to check the dipstick properly. A mate that works at an import parts specialist reckons may aswel get a whole 2.6tt engine for $2500 through him is the best option rather than rebuild and risk having further issues down the track.
  16. thanks guys, yeah the radiator was steaming and nothing in it but oily sludge when opened up the other day. so obviously the coolant is escaping but nothing looks to be around the manifold outside the engine.. Wil try another google search though.. . Hopefully a gasket, but seeing as it over heated and was empty on coolant, i'm tipping it's cracked the head aswell. if it wasn't already. Cheers
  17. Hey all, what would be the obvious issue to have coolant and engine oils mixing in an r32 gtr? There is definately engine oil in the radiator I know so far. Head gasket, crack in head? Is there a way of telling which is more likely (such as, only one way mixing oil in radiator OR coolant in engine oil).. or is there another problem i havent thought of.. Any suggestions appreciated and also, what COULD be the worst case scenario and how much is the most i'd be looking at to replace this part? THANKS HEAPS, Josh.
  18. My thread won't let me edit my ad, but the SS GROWLER INDUCTION is NOT included just to be clear. It belongs to a mate and was just the only engine pic I had and it's no longer fitted! Will take $6500 no less. Already going well under what I paid and the car is in better condition since I bought it.
  19. Any reasonable offers for a quick sale this weekend? I have my eye on a daily car. Car will not disappoint any inspection!
  20. ITEM: 1999 VT II Berlina 5.7 Litre PRICE: $7000 NEG, MAKE A OFFER LOCATION: Bargo NSW (South of Campbelltown) YEAR: 8 Month 1999 SERIES: Series II VT BADGE: Holden Berlina ENGINE: 5.7L Gen III TRANSMISSION: Auto COLOUR: Blue or dark green depending on light EXTERIOR CONDITION: Very good to excellent INTERIOR CONDITION: Excellent TYRE CONDITION: 95% almost new TYRE SIZE INCLUDING LOAD RATING: 235/40/18 ODOMETER: 190,000 SERVICE HISTORY: Yes, up until about 160,000kms. I service every 10,000 without fail REGO OF CAR: WDJ 334 REGO TILL: 24th Aug 2011 PLATES INCLUDED: Yes DELIVERY/PICK UP INFORMATION: Pick up PAYMENT OPTIONS: Inspect and pay if you want the car obviously CONTACT DETAILS: This thread, PM, MOB 0432 519 102 anytime OTHER INFO: Up for sale is my VT II Berlina 5.7, which is in almost excellent condition for its model. I cannot fault the car on anything really but below I will put up it's minor blemishes that people could pick up on if they viewed the car.. Bad Points: 1) The boot has what looks like very very minor hail dents (maybe up to 5 or 6) that you can see when its washed and looking from a certain angle. 2) Previous owner had a push bike handle bar put a little mark and dent next to the RH tail light where it meets the quarter panel. 20c piece size Like I said, they are nothing really but these are all factored into the price and why I have not put EXCELLENT condition in this sales ad. Good points: EVERYTHING else about the car is brilliant and works like new. The GenIII motor does not have the oil problem that some had or it was recalled and fixed by Holden. Either way the engine runs PERFECT and does not miss a beat. NOT ONE LEAK anywhere in engine bay or under carriage. Uses 10.5L fuel in city traffic and a recent drive to Newcastle got 9.3L on highway. I previously owned a VZ SS 5.7 and myself and family have all mentioned how much smoother this VT is mechanically. Paint is perfect and has zero fade. Drives great with no noises or vibrations. I personally believe this car is easily on par with the power of my dyno tuned VZ SS 6SP which has 243rwkw. I don't know if this VT has had a tune in the past but it has alot of grunt and sounds pretty tough. Modifications: * SS Inductions Growler kit * FOX 18" black wheels with red walls * King Spring Super Lows all round * 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 exhaust (No extractors) * Complete VX Calais suede/cloth seats and door trims with working driver & passenger 8 way electric seats. * Brand new water pump with built in thermostat (2 weeks ago) * Pioneer head unit with USB/MP3 * Heavy duty detachable towbar Safety: * Has factory fitted driver passenger airbags and side impact airbags in the seats. This car will not disappoint on inspection and is an excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser. I have done plenty of long trips in hot and cold weather and it has not let me down. Earlier this year I moved out of my apartment and I towed a full trailer, with full boot and filled the interior cabin up with all my belongings (on current springs) and it went from Sydney to Bargo without a problem.
