  1. Hey Bob, what makes you say "shittier and shittier" ??

Did you buy your GTR pump new? Im planning to use mine orig as a lift pump

Might have to run 4 Walbro's in parallel =)

Not too keen on pulling mine out, but just FYI the 044s are a really rattley, loud pump full stop so I'd say its normal. My pump when its running honestly sounds like it has square bearings in it :O and well so far its been running for a year and a half.

  2. Did you plug up the std bovs bleed hole?

No, the BOV was as installed but with the recirc. hose off so we could gauge how much air was leaking.

I run a std r33 bov on my car which runs up to 20psi. Its simple physics unless the bov is completely f**ked it cant possibly leak. The plenum side has pressure on a larger area than the pre-throttle body pressure, it cant leak.

  3. As there hasn't been much interest in the car itself I am going to try sell the driveline / parts and put the car back to stock.

If your interested in the whole car the thread is over here.

The motor was built by Ben at Racepace and all tuning was done there as well. It hass run 350rwkw on 100RON and runs 325rwkw on standard premium.

    Car - 94770km

    Engine - 7000km

Power - 324rwkw Racepace dyno (since ran 350rwkw at Racepace on 100ron)

    - Nismo Bearings

    - N1 Oil and Water Pumps

    - VCT is plumbed and works

    - Tomei Poncam's

    - Greddy Oil Cooler

    Turbo and Exhaust

    - Garret GT35R with 0.82 A/R turbine hsg

    - GCG XTR Turbo cover

    - GCG 6 into 1 manifold

    - PSR 45mm wastegate

    - 3.5in into twin 2.5in exhaust

    Fuel and ECU

    - Bosch 044 Fuel Pump

    - 215 lph lift pump

    - Apexi PowerFC with handcontroller

    - Z32 Air flow meter

    Looking for offers around 14k

If your interested in swapping stock engine over I could lower price to 12k + your stock gear.

  4. Thanks for the advice mate I'll give it a go :)

    K

Karlos, clean car... seen it many times down @ Racepace/Sandown :P

I think you'll have to separate, its the only way you'll get a decent sale.

I sold my motor off, Matt did the same for his, and i know of another guy doing the same interstate.

Built motors sell much better without the cars for some reason.

Dont ask me why, but i got my asking price as has everyone else.

All the others who want the "whole car" end up just wasting your time

    cheers - ash

  5. Hello all,

Well the time has finally come. I have put a lot of time and effort into this project but I have found that upon completing it I hardly ever use it on the track due to other commitments. I'd really like to see the car sold whole as it really is an awesome package but I have also offered the option to buy the engine / etc with a swap for standard engine.

The engine and all tuning was done by Ben at Racepace... it pulled 324rwkw on the Racepace dyno with pump fuel and has a massive power band making it very driveable.

The car itself is very tidy, no dents, no scratches, interior perfect, no previous damage.

More info available if you want it...

Keen to move this car, so I'm now asking only 20k wtf! Would also consider trades for S15, R34 or MY99+ WRX with cash adjustments for whichever car.

  6. lol ive blown oil all over hot exhausts before, all it does is SMOKEEE!!! it was very impressive.

besides if you've got enough pressure to push your sump oil up the drain tube you got more to worry about than a fire. theres nothing wrong with running a line back into your sump if you have a vented can. As for the vent, just run a hose down and point it at the ground.

  7. pnblight: You've spent a portion of this thread bitching about "eastern" people, leave that shit out of his thread...

this car is actually the perfect example why we "eastern whingers" call your quoted power bullshit, look at his mods compared to yours, and he has 90rwhp less, bullshit its just that his figures realistic and his motor is actually built properley

600hp thats a damn impressive list man, should be wicked on the circuit

  8. You may have simply been lucky, the valves may not have been open sufficiently.  So when you rotated the crankshaft. the valves where not protruding and didn't get hit.  To test interference you really should put the crank at TDC and rotate the camshafts.:)

Nah after I had a heart attack after realising and running around like a psycho swearing and cursing that id "broken my engine" I got my shit together and had a look where the cams where in their revolutions and there was an exhaust tappet sitting right under the peak of a lobe. lol it couldnt have been more open.

Luck is something I dont get...

  9. Dunno man, wouldnt think so. Maybe its the specific combo in my motor.

Didnt think lifters bled down all that much, the car was running that day, and ive never been able to "compress" a lifter by hand tool or otherwise (whilst experimenting of course )
