  1. standard is reading alittle over the half way mark (3.5) so would be about 4 I guess

Hiya, I just installed my autometer boost guage, was about to install my turbosmart bleed valuve but I noticed that I'm alreayd hitting 10-11 psi in 4th at about 5000rpm now I thought r33 stock was like 7 psi from what I know my car is pretty much stock just had apexi dunk exhaust and K&N pod filter. is this normal. like 1-2 are only boosting at like 7psi but soon as I hit 4000+ in 3rd or 4th its str8 up to 10-11 psi could I have installed guage wrong or is this normal?
  3. thanks for that I was about to buy a a-pillar to suit 60mm seems the autometre is only 2" 1/6 so I had to cancel and get a autometre a pillar mount. thanks for the heads up
  4. I know this has been asked a few times, but searching for the word boost gives so many results I'm running a 95 r33 gts-t with apexi dunk cat back exhaust and air pod. I just got myself a autometre boost guage and turbosmart bleed value. attempting to install them tomorrow and wanted some advise on what boost I should run, I was thinking 10psi reckon that would be ok?

  6. 60mm (the small ones) found a mate whos selling me a dual a pillar but I can't think what other gauge I want to put in now
  7. I've looking for a store in melbourne that stocks a pillars for the r33 I've checked autobarn with no luck and I need it by thrusday
  8. yeah it cost $1198 plus 100 for a central locking motor, friend says I got ripped with central locking motor cos r33's already have em, i dunno whole deals been pretty dodgy if u ask me. happy with alarm though finally have peace of mind edit... oh apart from the fact alarm is working so well not even I can start car atm... :lol:
  9. yeah once he comes and fixes it I'll ring up brants head office and complain don't want him getting blasted monday morning then coming out to fix my car :lol:
  10. well after looking around for awhile I decided what the hell I'll go all out and get the brant nemsis installed in my 95 gts25t... install was booked for thrusday, advised head office I don't have undercover parking is that a problem, no thats fine. ok all ready to go, got a call thrusday morning by the installer at 8am, oh I'm sorry u don't have undercover parking I can't really do it, u'll have to bring car out to st albans (45 mins away) nice start to the day. install took 4-5 hours and installer didn't wire in boot protection as he said my boot light wasn't working and therefore he couldn't install it.... ok showed me how alarmed worked etc.. all good seemed to work well. drove away after going to shops and getting petrol entering the pin number everytime I turned off car was beginning to give me the shits, but I guess thats the price you pay for security! ended work went to drive home only to find installer had blown my dash and rear lights when he did install, got home and rang him in the morning, advised me he didn't do it was a fluke it happened at same time??? told me to check all the fuses. ok checked all the fuses in the car, found the blown fuse and replaced it. turned on car alarm had shit its self and reverted back to factory settings or something no longer accepting my pin and now car is stuck in driveway and installer refuses to come out and fix it till monday.. so over all brant alarms great, brant contractors who do the installs > shocking!!!!
  11. yesterday I got a brant nemsis alarm installed and since then my dashboard light hasn't been working, so I can't do the speed limit :lol: I'd really like to get the lights working again, I'm assuming its just a blown fuse, I had a quick look but can't make sense of the fuse box, does anyway have an english map of the fuse box or know where I would find this fuse (everything works fine except the dash light, IE high beam indictor lights still flash etc.. I guess it could be a blown globe as well but where the hell do u find/get access to the dash light globe any help would be great thanks
  12. oh I've got another stupid question insurance are u covered by most policys while running the 1/4 at calder or are most void on the race track.. do u get some sort of cover provided by calder park? might be stupid question but would hate for something unpredictable to happen...

  14. yeah I'll becoming, would be nice to get a timeslip before I fit new clutch and FMIC so I can see the diff aferwards one question 400 metre in pretty much stock r33 (exhaust + airpod) will it hit speed limiter, what are some trap times of your guys cars for 1/4 mile?
  15. nar its just never had a tacho before haha I was jsut going on the tacho redline starts at 7000 so I was like thinking hey shouldn't it go to like 8000. yeah I'm a full on newbie so expect a few dumb questions like this
  16. Hey guys, I'm new to owning a skyline, I did a quick search on forums for this question but didn't come up with any results so forgive me if its a repeat but I noticed my r33 has a rev limit of 7000 maybe 7500 it seems quite low? is this normal?
  17. after reading SDU and now this for over a year I've finally purchased my r33, and what can I say now I know what you have all be raving about... looking forward to next cruise so I can meet some other fellow owners. some pics @ http://tate.isanet.net/r33/page_01.htm http://tate.isanet.net/r33/page_01.htm only mods are pod filter,apexi dunk exhaust, 17" wheels. but I'm pretty happy with it. hope too see some of you guys at next melb cruise... oh btw any alarm recommendations? I'm thinking Brant Car Alarms - nemesis is it worth the cost? anyone have this alarm?
