Haha i couldnt wait until tomoro, ended up using a piece of a different inlet manifold i had and plumbed it into the intake just before the throttle body, and then attached the ICV hose to it and connected it up. It sounds so good, the induction roar is very nice (Thanks again zebra for the help, would of been stuffed with a car that wouldnt idle other wise )

Hey guys probley gona get flamed like hell but, ive taken off the standard cross over pipe off my NA skyline and replaced it with straight steel piping without a resonator box. Atm, from the throttle body there is a 45 degree 3inch silicon joiner, then about 30cm of metal pipe then a 3inch joiner, the AFM and a pod filter. As soon as i start the car it stalls instantly, if i rev it slightly it will run but very poorly and as soon as i take my foot off the accelerator the car stalls.
There are two hoses that are not connected to anything atm, on runs to the intake manifold and the other to the top of the cam covers, these at present are not joined to anything. how can this problem be fixed?
(Worst case senario, ill just put the standard cross over pipe back on. But would like to get this to work as have heard the induction noise using metal pipe sounds ok )
Thanks Nikk
Thanks to Zebra this may of been resolved, apparently the pipe running from the manifold back to the inlet pipe needs to be plumbed into the intake pipe itself..

Yeah
Thanks heaps man ill get onto that tomoro , hopefully she'll run a bit better then
-
It's the one running to the intake manifold if it is a largish hose than it is for the iac valve. Needs to be plumbed into the intake pipe
Thanks Zebra, so just anywhere after the AFM, and before the throttle body?

whats the go with the silencer pipes, where r these located?
-
my gts has got an lsd, weather or not its factory or not im unsure :s
-
hmmm 20hp pump ey... may have to get one of these (cough cough )
-
also as mattie said cannons are a joke, use a decent oval muffler instead. It will stop it both looking and soounding "cheap"...
-
Hey man, as stated by all the other guys just take the car to your local exhust shop and get them to have a look at it and they'll go from there. My system is simply a cat, straight through resonator and the a custom rear stainless muffler with twin 2 1/2 inch outlets simply because i wanted twin pipes. m
My system is loud but has very minimal drone and have been pulled over many times with no hassles.

The car has a gloss black vinyl wrap on the Bonnet, A pillars, Roof and C Pillars back, Carbon fiber look alike wrapped B pillars, as well as a black Series 2 boot and wing (it just dosent show up very well in photos), The pod filter is mounted to the chassis using a bracket and has a CAI directly beneath it as shown in the pics. Also has the compulsary ridiculasly loud aftermarket exhaust, a set of TEIN HA coilovers and a full set of blue nolathane bushes
I know its not the quickest car in a straight line, but its mine and untill im off my P's this will satisfy my love of shiny things lol

Landscape. Not car. Gohd!
Haha, Rule no. 1 of Posting on SAU, dont bother arguing with Mark lol

yeah my guess is that it had the taller diff ratio. puts it in persepctive for all the NA import fanbois who like to brag about beating commodores and falcons, when first gear is as tall as second gear in a skyline. try launching a skyline in 2nd gear and then see how it compares to the aussie cars.
Thats exactly it man, My auto NA 33 (dont flame, I know its not a rocket already lol) does about 60 in first, if i were to launch in second (which tops out at around 105 - 110) it would be a very slow embarrasing trip to 100kmph and would get beaten by bikes let alone an AU falcon .

Apparently these fit: http://www.component...363/DBP77/order
MOQ is listed at 250, however im sure you can overcome that. I'm looking to remove mine purely because I never use it and don't want the weight.
Wow, what a thread dig lol

where are you located man?

^ good idea, i hate applying the meguiars stuff though!
it gets horribly messy im using the hot shine tyre gel atm
im just gonna buy some good stuff from waxit and ditch that
Yer i was using the "hot shine" product but megiurs have discontinued it in favor of the "endurance" tire gel, IMO the hot shine stuff was better.
But yer man let me know how you get on with the waxit stuff if it works awesome I might look into it
-
As Jonno said, the Aussie export stuff lasts SFA time. What ive found to work best is, put down a layer or two of the meguires endurance tyre gel (which in itself works awesome + it smells like sexy grape lol) let it dry off for 5 to 10 minutes. Then after its dryish spray it with the aussie export spray on shine, stuff works briliantly and cause the endurance gel stays on the tire even when the export stuff wears off (albeit after about 1 or 2 days) your still left with the relatively shinny Meguires layer.
This is what i use on my car anyway (i just cant bring myself to spray a clear coat onto my tires lol)

Also fired up there Super sedan drag car, over 700 horses NA windsor V8 its evil, ran a best of 9.7. When we were talking i was like "pfft ill run ya, my skyline would kill it" lmao (hint at the highly sarcastic tone of voice ) was a good day.
