Might look into Focal, they have some nice speakers, not to sure about under the $300 price mark. Check around the web, sometimes you can pick up really nice speakers 2nd hand, but that are in perfect condition.

I ran the stereo in my car for ages like this. What the person meant, was that using the internal amp in a deck, does technically wear it out faster, so running off external amps is better for them. Most decks though, will last for many years running off the internal, without damage. So run your speakers off the deck for the moment, and when you get the cash together, get yourself a nice 4 channel amp.

Hey Guys, I have a 7.5" TFT screen for my car, and I think that some of the wiring got a bit lose, and made a nice pop and smoke show in my car. I'm hoping that its just a capacitor or something that is gone. Does anyone know anything about these screens, or better off somewhere around Sydney that will fix it for me? I've tried a few places, but they are either 2 busy or don't do those types of screens. So as the title says, HELP! Thanks David
