mate swapping an engine is piss easy, just unplug everything unbolt all bolts, then repeat in reverse when installing. the hardest part is lineing up the engine mounts
-
Also doesn't unturboing an engine require an engineers certificate anyways? Therefore making it illegal
-
r32's came with the motors rb20det, rb26dett, rb20de and the rb25de. rb25de's are cheaps as chips, picked up a replacement motor for my blown r33 rb25de for $400, worked perfect ever since, guy even claimed it only had 67000 on it but i dont live in lala land and know that isnt true.
so if your smart and car work on cars yourself you can have a mad running r32 non tubro for around $500, which is wayyy cheaper than trying to fix up your unturboed rb25det-t.
-
and pay thousands to get it engineered? no thanks bro
lol u driving a non turbo 4 wheel drive r33 ROFL what a joke why bother having 4 wheel drive when your car dont even have power lolololololol
Doesn't need to be engineered as its a factory motor designed for that chassis. Also awd helps heaps in wet, I know my rwd r33 has stepped a few times when you don't want it to.
Also, what's with the attitude, why bother asking for help of your not going to take it positively
-
Definetly buy a rb25de motor, cheap as compared to fixing yours to run properly as will only take a day to fit of you have some knowledge. Also will go way quicker than what's in there now
-
Wow don't how that track is still operating, doesn't look very fun imo.
Also on the subject of awesome driveways mine has been used as a gravel skid pan since my mate first got his licence haha. Emts's sounds pretty mad though
-
What's the lowdown? Sounds like it was gonna be sweet with a dj and all, but cops blocking the street?
-
New tires is just a bandage fix imo. I have shitty ones and they grip fine in the, never had it come out unexpectedly, definetly nowhere near a 180. How's it grip in the dry? Could be the Tyres facing the wrong way as mentioned before
-
With na power I'm all for cheapies on the rear and half decent on the front. Still can't really break traction so it's not an issue
-
^^ I've seen some cluth system your talking about from a vid from Japan, the only thing I can't work out is starting on everyday traffic might be a bit brutal/illegal of it spins them
-
Yes sounds like you need a rubber/silicon connection between the tb and intake pipe
-
I dunno, i think the R33 looks pretty swish sitting side by side with its brothers.
But i guess thats GTR's hehe.
I tend to agree with what most people are saying. And personally i think most GTS/GT Skylines look pretty average out of the box. They just need a touch of love and they come up looking pretty sharp IMO.
What bumper is that, look similar to a 33R but surely not

I get the same problems in the morning if left overnight, think its pretty common, only thing I'm concerned about is not building oil pressure while it struggling
-
that's how I do it too, feather the clutch not the accelerator lol
i like to feather the clutch if im reversing for more than five meters, but feathering the accelerator sounds cooler
-
mods? more info, whats iit making on the dyno.

Stranger asked for $20 walking through the CBD when I finished work.
Decided to be generous and give it. Said she would pay it back, and gave me her number.
We shall see..

so after realising how sick induction noise is from being in dads patrol with a diy snorkel, i want to know if anyone thinks its possible to hook up a growl kit into the cabin simialr to bmw and toyotas 86.
im not sure how they do it, but it just looks like a 1" pipe coming from he cabin then going into a mini airbox then to the intake pipe. seems fairly simple and could make the sound 10x cool especially on FI.
anyone willing to/ tried it?
-
Little datto - with an SR20DE - and you other Skyline owners will be gritting your teeth.
pretty sure that wont be legal either, engine swaps that need mod certs are illegal for p plater unless im wrong.
also op yes buy the car mod it and do everything you want, just remember though that you wont be ablle to drive it on your p's (alost impossible to get an exception) and it will most likely become your dads car seeing as your going halvies. dont think of it as yours and then you wont be butthurt when its gets sold before you get a chnce to drive it

If you had posted this earlier in the week I would be in but ceebs now
-
Ive seen the optional wing and it looks horrible IMO, needs something inbetween that and a wing that comes on all Eco boxs
-
Stil believe it needs some type of wing similar to a 180 or s15 gt. someone photoshop it, I tried and failed
-
Spotted a silver 33 skid rig in currum downs before, you and your passengers gave me an enthusiastic wave and I returned with a thumbs up and nod. Was in black 33. Doubt your on the forums though, I've seen you around heaps if you are
-
looks the similar as performance forums 13's for 1300 thing

^^i dont get the refence to the track thing at the end. doesnt really explain it. can someone aware me?
edit: link to the rawdriving site explained it haha

I thought the physics felt different to forza 4. Everything to me felt cushioned whereas forza 4 feels more raw. Not sure how I feel about it, it does feel more arcadey in the way the cars handle imo.
Btw In pretty sure there's a silver r33 in the intro somewhere
