V35 Console Phone Cable, Pinout Rewire Attempt!
rad1 replied to rad1's topic in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Yep voltage is different, figured they wouldn't be identical but want to give it a crack with an old phone if I could get the cabling from the sharp match across to the apple -
Hi Guys Seen a few posts regarding the phone connector in the v35's - seems no one has bothered to try and use it... So might be playing with myself but wanted to give it a try and change the connector to apple for kicks, would like to try and get the functionality the sharp would have had in the v35, steering wheel, audio, and I assume thats a mic in the interior light fitting also. I got the pinout for the sharp gx10 etc which is what I believe it is. You can find it here: http://pinouts.ru/all/sharp_gx10_pinout.shtml (11, 8, 16 not used in car) I have colour coded the connector up based on the pinout and can share this. I have the apple pin out also http://www.allpinouts.org/index.php/Apple_iPod,_iPad_and_iPhone_dock http://pinouts.ru/PortableDevices/ipod_pinout.shtml I got 4 out of 13 easy, but the rest is a little confusing, the acronyms are different and I'm not a audio communications electrician! Can anyone help in translating the sharp pinout into the apple pinout?
