got the brace at work already, hidden underneath my desk so my boss didn't catch me with another car part lol
tested its strength by beating some ppl at work for not doing what i told them to do....just kidding!
gonna try putting it on this weekend if i can get access to a hoist

re colour, doesn't matter for me as in the end most of the bar would end up dirt colour except i'm mad enough to crawl down & wipe it every week

don't worry about my comments re pro, didn't know what i was thinking, that's what happen when it's just 5 mins after waking up, brain still in DOS mode (just basic skills) lol
what's the difference between TIG & MIG welding? the guy at the exhaust/workshop place that i go to only use MIG...

They are baked in an oven to set the product, but it's still fragile. I think ongoing heat cycling is what fully cures it.
Even then, it's not indestructible, you have to treat it nice; like you would with paint.

looks good dale, the difference compared to pros would be minimum
just curious, will there be any structural difference if u sand/grind the joining welds to make them flush with the rest of the pipe? sorry, noob in these things so would like to know

no hurry dale, i'm still waiting for the rear brace anyways. gonna put them together at the same time as i have limited access to a hoist

x2 I'd like to know too...Does the RX usually come with the faux woodgrain around the transmission column?
Cos I have an RX but its all beige plastic...the only woodgrain I see is on the door handles...
Not that I'm complaining...I hate the wood look.

the interior in my rx is beige/cream colour with wood grain on centre console. door handles and gear knob - half peeled

I can get all the parts from nisswreck but trying to avoid it because theyre expensive, more expensive than new from nissan sometimes.
Wants to put a series one nose on. What changed in the series 1-2 facelift, did quater pabels change or just lights, bumper, grill and hood

Have a few problems/issues that need to be addressed:
-i know i have to change my radiator support but i dont know if the bonnet latch will line up, could i use my V series one or will i have to use the stagea one.
-the blinkers on the V are bumper mounted but fender mounted on the M series, do you just line up the four square things on the cover and twist on on and clip it in the guard, could someone take a photo for me.
-i have factory HID lights, how do i change them over to the M series ones. Do just take the bulbs out like i am changing them and put thr stagea ones in or......

re: blinkers, they are built into the M headlights and there's another 1 on each of the fenders, i actually forgot whether V has blinkers on the fenders. i think it's just a matter of moving the V bumper blinkers to the M headlight ones, might need to extend the wiring i'd imagine.
re: HID, 98% sure they are the same as M35s, i remember checking my mate's v35 cos he was asking what bulbs he had to buy

just transferred today, might arrive tomorrow or the day after, depends on each bank's transfer protocols.

get wheel bearings from justjap, straight fit
re rack end, daleo pointed me to a pair of 350z/g35 ones from ebay, it fitted fine except i had to cut one end cos it was too long compared to the stock m35 one

i took mine to edgar's tyrepower in notting hill, their alignment machine has the settings for m35 surprisingly

the stock dvd rom in the car is purely for gps only which up until this second can only be used for jap navigation
ur best bet is to rip it out & change to an aftermarket dvd player
