    Hi,

    Unfortunately, the time has come to say goodbye to my GTR. I have been building this car over the past year and a bit, but it is time to move on.

    List of mods are as follows

    Car has been tuned on E85 in April 2014 - 422KW @ wheels

    Cp forged pistons

    Handling wise, I have Full set of HKS coilovers, will come with standard shocks and springs at the right price. Cusco front strut, also have after market rear strut. I also have a full set of ADVANS RG's which will come at the right price. I will also throw in a full set of standard r32 wheels.

    the negatives - The body is not a show spec body, i do drive the car. But with that said, it still looks good, just a few minor scratches here and there, it is washed every week, even though it is only driven twice a week.

    the interior - everything is there, the headunit however is not installed, but will come with the car. The only downside is the drivers seat has a tear, this is very common with r32 GTRs.

    Please feel free to arrange to meet. i work weekdays and dont get back until 7pm. so weekdays would be the best, or late on weeknights. No test pilots untill deposit is taken.

    many more parts come with the car so come have a look if you are GENUINE!

    turbo can handle up to 480kw
    internals can go way higher. If you want more power strap on a bigger turbo n ur done.

    my loss is ur gain. finish this car and enjoy it.

    why buy a stock gtr for 20k and then pump 10-15 k into work. its already been done here. get a mechanic to come look at the work if you want.

    do some reasearch and look up the costs of all these parts and then get a quote for labour. you will see how quickly it adds up if you do this your self


    notes: will come with standard wheels with rubber that needs replacing
    interior - driver seat is a bit torn but still ok. will come with a headunit but it is not installed. i may have missed some details but please look at the car before offering. all imperfections have been taken into consideration with this price

    im trying to find someone to do the work for me. ive msged greg whos already done the conversion on his r31. havent received a response. i dont know many people who have dont this conversion before.

    anyone know of any workshops that have EXP in working with RB26 NA conversions n tuning etc?

    The "15" Years Rule - Vehicles manufactured before 1/1/1989

    The 15 Year rule was significantly altered as of 11 May 2005. Under the ammended rule if you import a vehicle which was manufactured before 1 January 1989 then it doesn't come under the SEVS ruling and does not need to be complied by a RAW. The vehicle may be imported and modified under a different set of criteria, with an engineer providing a report which demonstrates that the vehicle complies to the ADRs that were applicable at the time the vehicle was manufactured. Generally compliance for importing cars under this scheme is relatively inexpensive."

  6. If the car was brought in under the previous 15 year old rule, it won't have a "compliance" plate. It should have a second longer VIN number stamped somewhere in the engine bay if that's the case. That's all that should be required.

    This may have just made my week. I have a black plate with the 17 digit vin number next to the Blue nissan manufacturers plate. I hope this is it. fingers crossed. ive just spend so much money getting the car finished if it isnt gonna be registered im gonna be spewing.

  7. some compliance places ive called asked when was it built etc. and that some r32's wont require a compliance plate. this is why im asking.

    My compliance plate has gone missing. did not notice when i purchased car. didnt cross my mind as it was registered. its been unregistered while ive been building it and not upon getting my blue slip realised its not there. zzzz

  8. i am reading the pre 1989 scheme for NSW. jsut want confirmation if that vin number is the model year. or the actual build date? i understand the pre 89 scheme only applies to cars built before jan 1 1989

  9. i would honestly rather keep the Z n/a. and what better engine for it than the rb. i dont really care about the power, my gtr is there for that. Im all down for the screaming high revs bouncing off trees when i go for a drive. i think it would be better if i just na a rb26dett rather than buy a 1 of 200 autech rb26? last i heard they were goin for 6k...IF you can find one. LOL. rb26/30 na would be affordable.. jsut swap over some parts n vwoahlah. (ok maybe not that easy) but within reach. ive been trying to source a autech rb26....not happening.. =\

  10. when getting it engineered to meet emissions applicable to the engine. would this also mean mods to keep structural rigidity. of course ill be getting a cage and extra struts roll bars etc but anything else ill have to watch out for in regards to chassis fabrication?
