Which one are you talking about Terry? the actually bonnet hinges? or the original bonnet holder? You dont actually move the bonnet itself, its just one bolt from the top, a bracket that comes with the kit sits over it nicely in a proper shape and you just re-bolt it ontop. The original bonnet holder can come off, and put back in. Its quiet simple. Hope i answered your question. =)

I wouldnt have a clue about the actual weight Terry, but i am also assuming it may weight a little more then the factory one.
