Bahahaha NO! He fully converted it into a R34 GTR. Spent around $120,000 in the process or some crazy figure like that.

Don't all cars build up revs from cold start ups? Or does yours flutter up and down?

I don't want to mention his name. Lets just say he converted a R34 NA skyline into a 700hp R34 GTR . Guess you know who he is now....aw well lol.

Facebook friend really....haven't met him yet IRL although he knows a few of my friends. I been researching vigorously for the past week or so now on R33 GTR's, looking at common problems, maintenance, modding etc. Still undecided if i want to go with one or go with this R34 GTT i been looking at. I am torn :\. Yes it will be my daily, mainly driving on the freeway too and from work.

My friend is actually well known for his GTR's/Skylines, he is a member here, but doesn't post anymore as he keeps getting harrassed for advise on cars lol. I do talk to him quite abit, but he is busy and sometimes doesn't have time to talk and given who he is, he has hundreds of people asking him the same or similar questions, so i don't want to annoy him too much. Its more a discussion thread more than anything, just want to see what your guys thoughts are.

I been reading up on them for the past week or so now. Visiting forums, google searching, watching youtube etc. Getting the basics down atm, not so much the advanced or technical side of things yet. I am working on that though.

My current car (which i am trying to sell) is a 2001 series 2 R34 25GT (got it on my P's, hense NA). I want a fairly stock standard R33 GTR, that isn't thrashed, has low kms, doesn't need much work done to it. I don't plan on spending heaps of money on it, just want it to be reliable, sound good and quick. As far as exatly what i am after: Year: 1997-1998 model (if 1995 not too fussed) Price: <$25,000 Colour: Black/Midnight purple kms: Less than 80,000 Mods: Mild or factory Do i know how to take care of it? I am learning/have friends who know a lot about skylines/GTR's. hahaha yes it has the famous RB26 .

Wasn't quite sure, because in the comments he mentioned "new tyres", wasn't sure if that meant new "factory" tyres or not, or if that also included rims as well . I know i am noob with GTR's that is why i am on here......and i didn't make this thread for you to choose me my car. It was made to see what you guys think is the cleanest and best deal for a R33 GTR on sale in Melbourne.

Yeah saw that one....something about the wheels/rims gives me nightmares lol. Also the ride height seems high does it not? Im guessing thats stock, but it just looks weird.
