  1. Interesting you say that. I have about 10 years experience in 800+ton cranes and was knocked back on 3 occasions because I was locally based. If I was based in Brisbane I would have had the jobs. Was odd hearing in the interview that I had perfect references, and was wanted but I had to FIFO and stay in a camp.

    Thats weird, i know for a fact they are chasing open ticket operators

    That options brochure would be amazing to have - it would knock a lot of the conjecture that's out there on it's head. At least we know that such a beast exists though. I'm going to start searching now. Was it on eBay?

    Yea mate it certainly was, i have been looking mate for the last year or so, like every second day. i think its pretty rare, as it would be maybe only 3000 every made and prob 2500 wrecked now..

    on the link i posted under my pics, there is an older bloke who has a black 32 vspec with every nismo option from factory, full nismo areo kit, n1 motor the lot, would be worth bulk coin ! and its been really looked after like factory except the aftermarket nismo rims, its unbelivable

    As it has been alot of debate in this thread so far i thought i would throw my 20cents in. For upgrades, i have seen a Nissan brochure, which i missed out on buying, but it showed all the upgrades you could add onto your v-spec, it only 5 pages unlike the other ones that have been in this thread, it showed, recaro seats, different gear knobs, nismo dash's, nismo areo add on's, knee padding, two stage lift up center console lids, nismo strut bracing, exhausts ect. I was pretty devoed when i missed out on buying this in an auction by $10 as i havent seen another one since.

    Anyways my car, came from factory from what i have gathered "factory optioned"

    Interior:- recaro "blimp" seats, GTR 320km dash, nismo white dial center gauges

    Engine:- 24U N1 Motor, Nismo front mount oil cooler ( The one that sits beside the half size air con condensor ), Nismo 100mm cooler, Nismo 2.5in into 3in merge, Nismo 3.5in into 3.75in exhaust,

    Body:- Nismo front and rear strut braces, nismo brake support, Has N1 reo (but i think the bar has been replaced somewhere along the lines as there are no inserts now), in the boot it had 24U sickered, peferated foam stuff covering the steel plate between the back seat

    The car has had a heap of aftermarket stuff added on to it,

    28/60-10 turbos

    hi power 3in from turbo dump pipes

    hi power 3in merge into 3.5in

    greddy intake manifold

    modified trust oil relocation kit

    hks 280 10.5mm lift

    tomie cam gears

    greddy hard pipe kit

    I didnt know much about my car when i bought it, it was a box of suprises, stuff that i thought was after market, once i did alot of research though nissan and various articles and brochures i found out alot of it was "apparently" factory.. I didnt even know that it was a v-spec when i bought it, just thought it was a seriuosly modded gtr that went quick !

    A bit about my car, when it lived in japan it had a bit of a hard life and was "apparently" used as a privateer weekend track car, as i am third owner in australia and i knew the second owner, i only found this out as when i was changing the original paper speakers over, i found weld marks, from what i am presuming are from where they cut a cage out, and harness points still in the car in where the rear seat belts get bolted in. So this made me look a bit deeper in to my car, where i found gauge sensors and wiring, that had the gauges cut off them, obviously to import ect. As i still have all the original import papers i tracked down the first owner who i found out had the car personally imported, as he wanted a weekend warrior, and found this thing over in japan and had it brought to australia. He actually never got to put it around the track as he split up with his wife and sold the car within 3 months of having it landed. Then my mate bought it, had it for a year did 10,000kms in it and lost his license for 18months and nearly lost the car, had it painted blue and when he got his license back, was told by qld trans that he had to go onto p's and couldnt drive it, so he got the shit and then sold it on to me.

    Since owning it, i have put the R33 N1 Box in it, greddy manifold, trust oil relocation kit on it and am currently in the process of putting N1 side skirts on it and trying to find a factory Gtr bonnet to put back on it, as i got defected for the frp one.

    Oh and mine also has those wind delfectors on the castor arms and it also has air guides in the windage \ under tray

  4. im thinking that mabe you need to ask the question if you could "upgrade" your car with extras just like you can do today, with any nissan you buy from your local dealer ?? As i have seen a brochure that i missed out on buying with the upgrades you could add to your v-spec from the factory, eg brembo seats, nismo dash, centre gauges, knee padding, nismo areo parts, strut bracing ect. Just a thought

    I can also definatly say there is other changes made to them other that just brakes and wheels, go and get a standard 32 gtr rear diff and a v-spec diff and look at the difference, the casings are different on the back plate one has fins ans provisions for and oil cooler the standard gtr doesnt.

  5. There are 4 different 2860's for RB26 application. -7 is the smallest

    Ah ok. I'll have to try and look when I get home. I know they good for 30 pound, well it does it but prob wouldn't wind it up that high to drive all the time. Is there any way of telling other than pulling them off there is a plaque on it but it's hard to see. Guess I'll know more when it goes back on the dyno on the 3rd.

    Did you max them out ? We have maxed out the turbos once and the boosted 31.85psi well that's what the boost controller said its maximum boost achieved was. I thought the 2860 were bigger than 2530 ? Im new to the whole twin thing just had Vl rb30 turbos and you just strap a gt35 to them and way you go lol.

    Cheers sinista, as I said earlier I don't really know exactly what size I'm only going off what I have been told for the turbo size, all I can see is there is garrett on the housing and Hks actuators and what looks like a Hks plaque. I guess I'll find out out when I pull them off one day. What psi did your turbos push before they ran out of puff ?

  8. Yep lol, usually jealousy. Sweeet, i know a guy that has a R32 GTR as a drag car and hits 9.4 down the 1/4 mile and it's mental.. would be good to see what you can pull.

    Yeah good man, i'm on my greens so it's NA. Runs 14.2 1/4 mile with CAI and no other engine mods aha so it's a good p plater car i will pretty much beat any other p plate legal car apart from a SV6 commy one beat me by .6 of a second on the strip..

    are you going to do any mods to it or you just waiting to come off your p plates and turbo it ? got a mate who got 350z who single turboed it makes 370 on a na motor, goes good its a hks kit i think

    There's always going to be haters lol, i don't know a lot about FI but that is some impressive power would be interesting to see what you'd run down a 1/4 mile.

    Yea will be interesting, i'll definately throw some slicks on the ass of it ! Put some semis on the front so it sill feels half normal !

  10. I think mine has that airbag warning thing too so like you said they all had that warning label.

    Sounds like you have got yourself a nice model though with it being a V-Spec and an N1 block and its putting out good power.

    As you have pointed out it is crying out for some nice wheels and I agree with iplen about the colour. From the pictures it looks like the bonnet is white? I would respray it white or silver but not necessarily the original white or silver from Nissan but something similar from a more modern car to make it look a bit more modern.

    I should ask what are your plans for the car?

    Thanks bud, yea it makes good power, ^^^^ As for the hater i have only been told -7 turbos, but i have seen the old dyno sheet from its last tune years ago for 515hp. So thats all that really matters doesent it...

    Yea i was stoked when i found out it was v-spec, just need to find some gay BBS v-spec rims for when i sell it lol. Yea the bonnet is white and the boot is black if you look closey, i have only owned the car for 8 weeks now and i work away on a LNG project so have only been home for 1 week, so havent had much time to do anything yet but wash it. I got some plans for it get the bonnet and boot painted the same colour as the car, get the front bar fixed up and find some Trust GRacer side skirts, as thats what use to be on there, and is running the Trust rear pods. Also put the blue mirrors back on and get rid og those granador carbon fibre ones. The car use to be a mica white colour with a very slight pearl, i must admit that i did prefer the white colour, but hey its got 500hp and for the price i paid im never going to whinge, the colour now is the mazda 6 blue with pearl, it does look better in real life, would prob look a bit better if i didnt have such a sh*tty camera. As for wheels i'm looking at getting some R35 Gtr rims for it, have seen one 32gtr with them on already and they fill the guards out so well. If i can find a set i will run with some r34 rims or TE37's, engine wise just a trust dog box, that prob about it for now i want to use it on the track when im home, so the setup its got now is pretty good

  11. I have just recently brought a 32 GTR, off a mate who had it for 5years, (has been in storage most of the time since he bought it), so am writing this quick post to see if im on the right track or if anyone can help me in my cause to find a bit out about it !

    The car has always been a bit of an unknown, it runs N1 Block, Hks 272 stg2 cams, Hks spec head, 2860-7turbos, nismo 100mm cooler, greddy intercooler piping, hks oil cooler, brembo brakes, trust gracer side skirts and rear pods, recaro seats, N1 fiberglas bonnet and plenty of other suff, and the old girl makes 515hp at all 4's on 20psi. (Can supply dyno sheets in a couple of weeks when i get back home for the haters)

    I always thought that it was just a standard Gtr that someone had played with, from the motor and all the custom bits on it, even the paint was custom (use to be metal flake white with pearl), but i went into my nissan dealer the other day to buy some parts and put the vin into the fast system, and it turned out to be a 7/93 V-Spec (Nissan dealer saying V-Spec II), so i was pretty happy with that, just makes it a bit more special. So after trolling around plenty of sites in the last couple of days, I have found that the motor is out of a N1 somewhere after the 3rd Feb 1997 due to the engine number having the first 5 numbers being RB26068XXX on the outside of the engine block it has got in the casting 24U so i know its legit.     After my local Nissan dealer printed me off a copy of the "fast" they did, I have also downloaded the latest fast system for windows, and have put in the Vin aswell which comes up with Model:KBNR32RBFSAA, Series:R32, PROD: 07/93, Colour: KH2 (Grey) Body: 2K (2 Door ??), Engine: RB26DETT, Drive: HI.4WD (Hicas 4WD), Grade: GTR.17 (Vspec),

    This is what i have made from my Fast, Now the guy at the Nissan dealership is trying to tell me that my car is a V-Spec II but from my research mine is only a V-Spec, as V-Spec II's didnt come out untill 94, So i dont know, as it is such a bitsa,

    I have also read that an air bag was an option on the V-Spec now, mine doesnt have an air bag in the steering wheel it just has the stock R32 Gtr wheel on it, but it has all the warning decals on the sun visor and a sticker in the glovebox saying its meant to have one in the wheel, (Has the air bag been removed ??)

    I have seen some people on SAU, who use the fast program can bring up the factory options that have been taken from factory, if anyone can help me work out the fast so i can do the same would be great, is there anyway to trace the car back into japan ?..

    And YES i know the wheels look gay and it has no side skirts lol

    Mate I been sending you pm's and been posting on here, the messenger has been saying you have been reading them. And still no reply. I want those trust GRacer skirts i have had a quote from melb to Brisbane for freight is $60.00, I'm prepared to pay more for the safe packaging, I'm also in need of the grill you have. Please get back to me ASAP, as I have been tying to find a set of replacement gracer skirts for a while as my passenger side skirt is damaged to the point of it not being able to be on the car.   13. Try recardo from cmr (capalaba motor repairs) at capalaba, they have a page on Facebook and web page, very happy with his work and also has a 4wd dyno give him a call on 3245 5170 and dyno is an in ground dyno so no hassle getting low cars on !

    selling my r34 gtt half cut. completely standard. still runs in the half cut. comes with all traction control computers from the boot as well. im selling due i purchase it for a complete swap in another r34 but project has change direction, so i have no real use for it. it has not been change sense purchase. interior is in average condition, no seats just dash, steering wheel, cluster, climate control and surrounding plastics. I am not selling parts separately must go as one. Also it comes with a manual gearbox (still in car).

  15. box was holding 1000hp to the wheels, no whining, no slipping, no breaking of anything (3rd gear is a weak link)

    i wasnt thrashing the car with the manual in it as its a standard box but its held up and driven unbelievably.. i thought id break it in 2 seconds.

    clutch is full on, will hold anything. I changed the clutch plates when i first put the new engine in and tuned it so theyre not old at all.
