bump
anyone in brissie gt one i'd love to pick it up, 250+ to get one from SA
might be only option though...
-
how long would it take to recieve the door from your SA location? I kinda need it mid -> week
]
and what kinda price am I looking at delivered to Bundaberg, QLD, 4670; otherwise I am thinking about driving 300+km's to brissy to pick one up, my car is getting sprayed mid/later week (leaving it late i know! )
-
Thanks for replies fellas the one in brissy sounds like the go very close to me i might even be able to pick up this weekend ill be down that way perhaps sunday?
-
hey guys, long time no see!
i'm fixing up my car to sell it, need to replace the door due to a pretty bad dint
I'm after a R33 drivers side door, no need for trim/glass etc. Prefer it in pretty good condition, easier to spray then
I'm up in Bundaberg QLD, I will pay freight from anywhere aslong as it's a reasonable price to get it to me!
Thanks fellas
PS. It's quite urgent!
-
i'm currently using mobile 1, 5-40 i think (maybe 50)
rb25de
100000km
no oil loss at all
i drive it 3 times a week on average - and always like i stole it
you guys think i should change, i'm up for a service soon
-
my buddy clubs are
+32 offset
4x114.3
-
i had a look under my bonnet and all my belts need replaceing on my Rb25DE by the looks - i guess when I get them done i'll get the timing belt done too
could be a VERY expensive trip to the mechanic!
-
^^ there is a 'short' list and a long list of stuff you could do when upgrading
some of the must haves:
turbo + manifold etc
intercooler of some type + piping
injectors (stock GTST ones will do)
some type of air/fuel control for tuning etc (engine mangement)
optionals:
fuel pump
brakes
aftermarkt BOV etc + other ricer stuff
quick list i made up - i am basing this on low PSI due to no internal changes to the motor
-
that sounds pretty cheap thanks for the info dan
-
if you don't mine me asking about price? i reckon i might do it the smart way too
-
my stock r33 exhaust has a flap etc that would open up as stated above, you can buy it if u want
-
it is aftermarket i think as mine doesn't have it
-
thanks guys, mirkz - did you do the work yourself?
-
it will work mate, has been done by a few people here - i'm pretty sure it will anyway
-
^^ exactly right - the higher compression + 5 PSI should run quite well
and no ECU etc will be needed if the boost is kept low - i'll prob get a SAFC II for tuning
-
fuel pump wont be needed nor will injectors at around 5 PSI, and i don't think anyone had done this - or atleast i didn't find any info when i searched
-
rather then trying to mod SAU hows about you leave that to the mods
users such as DAN666 etc frequent this forum, and user such as dan have lots of experiance with this - the motor is also a RB25DE - and the turbo section is full of "i am running 30PSI why is my fuel cutting out"
there have been similar threads here ages ago
-
if you doa reply you will see that buying a front cut then doing a conversion is the best option to turbo your NA, but I am doing it on a very tight budget - and only want to run 5-7 PSI - nothing too crazy yet
-
nothing - some big changes went down but now i'm getting the interest back
-
hey guys, the plan in a nutshell:
'bolt-on' a turbo to stock RB25DE engine - run about 5-7 PSI for now
Plan:
Buy exhaust manifold, turbo and replace current manifold
It should run with a boost controller and FMIC
Problem:
I need to feed the oil/water lines to/from the turbo - rather than getting holes tapped into the engine block etc the plan is to pick up the lines from other locations under the bonnet. I've had a look and can't find any info on exactly where would be suitable places to tap into the oil/water lines with success.
Someone mentioned ages ago that some Greedy/Trust bolt on packages took the oil/water from elsewhere - yet I can't find any info online etc on how exactly they do it.
Thanks guys
BTW: if anyone can see any problems with the plan let me know and we can chat about it
-
do tell i might do it to my RB25DE
