  1. agreed, many times a lot of cars have one of those radar detectors which are widely used in japan/asia region but get taken out by customs or DAFF inspection agents...

    Hmm... I think you guys might be right, since it doesn't make sense for them to use a barrel type connector since they use those plastic plugs for everything else...

  2. Didn't work.

    Anyone else know?

    Ok so it turns out that yes, it does work for keeping headlights on.

    You need to lock the car once it's parked in a dark enough area and they will stay on for a little while.

    I also noticed a fuse missing under the bonnet which was 10A and covered accessory? I ended up putting one in so that might also be the reason for it not working??

  3. Continuing with the whole what does this do thing. I was changing a fuse under my dash and found this barrel connector tucked behind some plastic under the dash. Not sure what its meant to be plugged into but seems like its original. Any ideas regarding this one?

    Also I have that switch as well and no it doesn't seems like its meant to keep the headlights on.

  4. I have this VDO unit;

    Which I bought from a different supplier, as autostrada were not doing the V36 units at the time..

    But they do sell them on eBay now...

    Well worth the money and a straightforward installation with good instructons attached for interest...

    Awesome thanks for the info, I'm wondering if this kit will work though since I have a 3.5L V36?

  5. Hi Frank,

    Yes that was exactly what I did.. Tapped into the tramsission ECU for the speed, 2 connections to the brake pedal then the power. Also used the supplied stalk controller as I had a Momo steering wheel, which does not work with the OEM switches.

    Installation on the V36 was even easier for the cruise, but getting the controls connected though the steering clockspring was a nightmare!!

    Sorry to go a bit off topic here, but Nick what cruise control unit have you got fitted to your vehicle? If you don't mind me asking.

  6. mate no offense but with so much confusion on carsales, just letting you know you car is a Type S and not SP like it says on carsales....but on another note you havent mentioned yours having a cruise control which is rare on these JDM models..... :D

    Hey Mate, thanks for clearing that up for me, unfortunately I can't update the Advert without paying for it again. Unfortunately the cruise control does not work.

  7. Finally decided to move on to a new car so this thing has to go, the vehicle drives smoothly and doesn't seem to suffer from the experiences of 'jerking' etc on take off that other people have had, recently changed the transmission fluid which has also smoothed the shifting. Car has always run on 95 Octane fuel and Synthetic oils, the vehicle has around done 71,000km.

    Second owner, bought from private sale in January of 2013.

  10. Hi Guys,

    Got some T3 Club Spec Slotted Rotors for sale, these were originally going to be fitted to my brothers 350Z but since it has been sold I have no use for them. All parts are brand new but the boxes have been opened and rotors unwrapped.

  11. Hi Guys,

    Had a quick question regarding upgrading the stock calipers (single piston) on my V36 Skyline to the twin piston stock calipers I have linked to below;

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360588575252?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

    These are the single piston all round calipers I have right now;
