  1. Factory? Hey! I'm not taking any lessons of the factory, they have no idea what they're doing.

Special thanks to you for the use of the carpark too mate.

    Here are some more pictrues:

Nexus I agree you need more open wheels to show off your calipers:

  2. ROFL at this thread,

At the caliper painting workshop yesterday I kept hearing references to eating animal hearts, glowing mushroom worms and 14 year old petrol station skanks. I didn't want to ask whether or not you'd actually been eating the glowing things, but I have my suspicions.

So in the end, did you eat the owl aswell.. or the 14 year olds?! :aroused:

  3. The centre part is the hub facia- in 99% of cases I paint them as they're rusty or just look bad. On skylines they're usually black (at least they used to be black but have turned brown. ) On some theres also a horrible crusty bit right in the centre that I clean out and paint to prevent it from rusting any further. Some lines are in better shape than others.

Yeah theres a few good action shots that mindflux took from in my car.

I was having trouble uploading with optus FTP last night though, i'll try again tonight.

BTW, how come you guys always call me Joel? I don't mind really, but it's Joey :wavey:

  4. Hi guys, sorry for the late reply I only just got back from Melbourne (they don't have the internet down there you know)

Ska - I can confirm my all of my clients calipers look brilliant while the car is moving (except the ones that get black.. you can't really see them)

    10 am Sunday suits me.

Best thing to do is have everyone arrive early, ala production line style. Once wheels are off you guys can play network games while I'm slaving away over hot skylines.

In regards to jacks, I will bring a shiney new trolly jack, two folding jacks and 2 axle stands (plus wheels chocks/paint/buckets/ etc etc etc :nowigetit

We need two jacks or stands for each car, so start raiding your mums excel and your dads commo, they all come with jacks. :D

This should be a good day :P

  5. Yeah cyrus I'm about to leave for melbourne so can you please order 2 cans of the green.

AS far as numbers go, 5 or 6 cars would be better. There may be a few takers on tonights cruise, I won't be there though.

    Cheers

    Joey

  6. Saw Dean this arvo and he tells me he'll be there.

Watch out for a freshly ironed shirt, he was talking himself up on his ironing skills and reckons he's spending the best past of this evening preparing. :P

  7. Its not fair.. I'm working every thursday for.. god knows how long.

I mean WTF were they thinking scheduling seminars on thursday night.. don't they know there's cruises and stuff on ?! :D

  8. I found the bendix ultimates I had on the rex very dusty, they also tended to be squealy and non grippy when cold. I changed them with Lucas pads which seem to be quite good. They were cheaper than ultimates too, $120 a pair for fronts.

Can't help you out with part numbers though. It's not easy with anything later than r31 as many local stockists don't keep track of grey imports.

Edit - actually, R33 rear calipers are identicle to Subaru WRX MY01-MY04 rear calipers. That may help.

  9. Hey mate,

Yeah still off the road, although things might be looking up as I am picking up the turbos this arvo & have got all new hoses from my brother who works at Westpoint Nissan & are picking those up this arvo too.... so shouldn't be too long away now...

    Cam
