  1. I think there name is Garrett & Rotomaster Turbochargers.. Didn't have any dyno charts for rb20, but sounded same 450hp etc.. Also for rb20 is it best to hiflow rb20 or rb25 turbo, much difference? Cheers
  2. Hi All, Have decided to hiflow turbo rather than buy something new (which is proving hard to find) - GCG reccommended I buy GT3040R with .63 housing - I thought this would have been bit big and laggy?! is GCG the only good place for decent hiflow or are any other Garrett distributors going to be exactly the same? I am in melb, so would rather one here. Got quoted today in melb some place in Somerton for new ball bearing cartridge, steel wheels, new oil and water lines kit for $1700. Does this sound the goods or pay extra for GCG. thanks
  3. Looking for one of these to hiflow. PM me if you have one lying around.. Thanks
  4. Hi all, just wanted to know if anyone knows what year this was?? I am doing the rb30/25 and looking at rb30, which is an 88 model. Is that Series one or two. Havent been able to see it to check line plugs, and the seller doesn't know. thanks
  5. Thanks for your help guys. So keep to 1 bar of boost as max, don't rev beyond 6500 regardless of springs and all will be ok.
  6. Hi all, Couple of things to clarify about rb30/25 conversion. I have read threw the sticky thread, and had some great imput from a couple of guys but need to clarify different answers as I have the block and head ready and waiting. 1. Using sk's 475 hp version of conversion. standard rb30 pistons with ceramic crowns I understand are not the weak point for this power, correct? Does this include boost of upto 20psi? If I have to have forged pistons to be safe - which ones to keep compression high? 2. If standard pistons are ok for above which rings to get? 3. GTR cams/springs, for this power do I need them? or will the rb25de ones be ok upto 250-300rwkw mark. Thanks for your help guys, just didn't want to find out mistake or waste of money after I have finished. Cheers

    Rb30/25

Hi all, Has anyone in melb done this conversion. Rb30de bottom end and rb25de head. Need some assistance if anyone has done it. Cheers Cam
  8. Easiest decision ever, I went for the RB31DET and I already had the RB20 block, RB20 cylinder head, RB26 crank, RB26 rods and 4AGZE pistons Cool no wories, makes sence. So do you rebuild with forgies for that price.. Is it best to by a rb30 in good condition and not rebuild it or buy on price with expectation of wanting/needing to give it some attention. Where is the best place to get rb30 bottom end from.
  9. Hi all, firstly dont want this to become a bitchy battle!! My car is r32 4door (rb20) with following mods, apexi FMIC, Apexi Power FC, HKS oil cooler and relocation kit, full turbo back exhaust, cold air induction and pod, r33 turbo (s2), full HKS suspesion, clutch, diff, front and back struts, floor brace etc etc, you have the idea. Its a great car and planning to keep for next 10 years, yes 10 years! but car is already tied from hard life in japan and now from me on track. It is also my daily drive I have done heaps of research over the last year and know the pros and cons of both just want experience to make the best call for the long term plan. Due to funds doubt I will have enough to get a turbo so rb25 will have to do for now. but want car to run reliable 250rwkw (with a new turbo im guessing) 1. rb30 bottom with rb25 head. 2. rebuild rb20 to rb24 and do some extensive head work including rb25 valves if they fit. Both will have forged bottom ends. and want to use my power fc (r32) I guess it comes down to this, if you were spending this sort of money with a 10 year out look will one end up being more reliable, cheaper, enjoyable than the other. cheers Cam
  10. Not Tomei, I think I may have made an error though! Prob is Moni - part of Apexi but see what you think from pics. Leave email for pics as it won't let me fit them on here.
  11. Oil temp, Oil Pressure, Water temp. Will try and get some pics up
  12. Real Tomoni gauges from Japan In perfect working order. Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Water Temp All have strong braded lines and joining loops. Braded lines and mount brackets will be sold with gauges. $600 Melbourne
  13. Hi all, As title says my windows suck really bad so so slow... Wanting to know if there is a way to speed them up. thanks
  14. My 32 has r33 turbo makes 172rwkw on 15psi with PFC, Apexi FMIC, turbo back exhaust, cold air intake and pod, cam gears. So either this is the upper mark with r33 turbo, or something wrong with my car, but runs perfect..
  15. bump..
  16. Hi all need some advice to clarify conflicting opinions of people trying to sell me one. Have max 2500 to spend and want something that will give some punch in midrange and still have lots of sting up top. Want something that will push maybe 1.5 bar without crapping itself. Current mods. apexi FMIC, apexi PFC, AVCR, full exhaust, air intake, rb25 turbo, hks oil cooler, suspension, brake and cluth upgrades. will need injectors and AFM prob so don't worry about this. thanks
  17. Still have receipt on xbox when I got it done - cost 150 so assume what you like.
  18. Pics are added to save any confusion.
  19. Plays all local and imported games as well as burnt.
  20. Hey there, I have similar mods and just had my PFC tuned. My car got 172rwkw and my tuner said AFM was restricting things abit as it runs out of puff at 6250rpm. It made sense to me with much more demand than standard and could see dip on curve, but I guess after reading here am I getting spun a load of crap or not?? thanks
  21. Yep something like that!
  22. Yes most of the games are copies on DVD.
  23. I will check out the chip tonight and get back to you. cheers Cam
  24. I am selling my Xbox, comes with 2 controllers, Doulby Digital connection + normal one 20 games Xbox is chipped. $300 Melbourne
  25. As title says, both in excellent condition. $350 for both.
