Oh My... Your the saviour of the thread, the Skyline owners of the world should have your photo of on their dashboards. Re-Read the thread from the start matey... You might find that the trend is actually slightly different then what your trying to protray in heroic post. I'm not even going to entertain the IQ level that requires one to suggest that only Skyline Drivers are welcome on this forum. Its very interesting that you feel some people don't deserve to drive a skyline... gods gift to the GTR ?

They are not the marque car some like to think they are. I'm not bagging out your emotional attachment or the car itself either. Its just a fact. PS. I have owned both an R33GTSt and FD RX7. I'm telling you now, the Rotary crowd and FD Crowd specifically are a million times more community based around the marque (and no... I dont considar the FD some special supercar better then your GTR's). I have found the Skyline Crowd more based on the Social Scene then anything. How many of the first 100 members of SAU still have Skylines ???? Food for thought.... I can think of 5 or 6 straight away that don't.

Some of you guys need to stop being so sensitive. It may come as a surprise, but not everyone who buys a "insert car" wants to be apart of a car gang based on the car they drive. Some of these blokes might think your actually trying to crack onto to them or something.

Congrats on the new pup. Great Dogs... Althou, they will more then test your wits for the next 18 months. My dog is a Treasach Stafford. One thing thou, they are incorrectly called an "English Staffordshire"... They are purely a "Staffordshire Bull Terrier". Feed them a good diet for good size. Disregard anyone who tell you they are evil dogs and be prepared for people to frown when they see it. Bring the dog up well and with control displine and you'll have an awsome dog. I would trust my dog more with my 2 year old son, then most people.

Why hello there. -Yes, I'm here.... Member Number 8, 18 or 28 or something like that. Liz, did you end up entering this event ? My FD won't be in any condition to pull anything below 1.14's I suspect. I'm more or less coming down to help a mate, and turn a few laps... Nothing serious from me... We'll have at least one FD, maybe two that will be sub 1.05's. I'm interested in having a go at a Superkart if possible. I should be quailified enough, whats the deal...

GTR's must get sick of getting beaten by whimpy little rotors R34 - Done, beaten, Touge Champion R35 - Done, beaten...

You know your in a Skyline when... * That RX7 just blew your doors off........................ * Your holding up some strange sounding car, with pop up headlights.............. * You have people fallging you down in the city asking for Taxi rides.............. * Your girl left you mid cruise to "check out the cool RX7 accorss the road" * Skyline Inferior, RX7 Superior...........

Reasons NOT to drive an FD as a daily... 1. Height of the car. Whilst she'll clear most speed hump, they take their toll. 2. Width of doors... Car make parking cumbersome... 3. Fuel, fact of life that a rotor likes drinks, not as bad as some make out thou. 4. Coming back too your car to notice randoms have put their hands all over the windows too have a look 5. The A/C is a common "failure" in the FD... Spend one day in traffic with no A/C in a FD and you won't need the rest of these points. The dump pipe is probably about 30cm away from the brake pedal. 6. I've never had a dramas with temp's, but you can see the water heat up very rapidly sitting in traffic... (if your monitoring it... ie. PFC) 7. THE MORE YOU USE IT AS A SHOPPING CAR, THE MORE ITS GOING TO BECOME LIKE A SHOPPING CAR. People will bang their doors into it, run trolleys up it, parked in the same place all the time-provides theives with a target. Mate, their just not a daily driver. How many people do you think use their GTR's as dailys ? A few of course, but not many. They are purely a car to be enjoyed driving, not something you like to see sitting in a carpark.

The RX7 FDS3 is NOT a daily driver. It doesn't appericate too be treated as a common car, which it obviously isn't. If you do not have a daily driver or a second car, forget the RX7. Issues... No more then a GTSt (Yes - I have owned both for +2 years each) Maintance, no more then any other turbo car. This assumes your capable of popping a bonnet, doing some reading and checking/fixing things Engine blowing up... Lets see, we have about 10 FD's in a group who meet up Friday nights (skyline hunting ) I can't recall any of those blowing up in the last year. They are a maintance intensive car... You really should be checking the fluid levels twice as much as you would in a piston car. Still, any negatives are far out weighed by the postives of ownership. But they are not a daily driver....
