sorry about the graph, but you get the idea.

  2. SS1PU will work fine it doesn't work with a small exhaust housing like the 21U units. So it will be fine.

The new SS2 uses a different exhaust side, on dyno, compare to the previous model, its been able to take more boost with more timing. I'll still still be aiming at 20psi by 3800RPM in 4th. For predicted end result it will be some where close to 340rwkws internally gated on pump 98 fuel and close to 400rwkws on E85 externally gated.

With the capacity of most common intercooler and a 3 inches diameter exhaust, but I will be making some small bits and accessories to come around it.

Do you have a picture of the exhaust housing?

  3. i've replaced the thermostat with some success, the temp now comes up past 75 and makes it to 78 but stays at 78, this is good i guess, its winter and pretty cold here at the moment so i won't worry about the enrichment, haven't given it a death thrash yet....lost a bit of skin on my knuckles changing it....

  4. Hi guys,

Hoping for some thoughts on this.

i've replaced my factory radiator with a new 40mm alloy radiator and now my coolant temps don't want to go above 75 C.

i've been reading up about replacing the clutch fan with electric but i'm happy with the clutch fan for simplicity (street driven car)

bearing in mind its winter here in NZ, should i just not worry about this and suck up the slight increase in petrol consumption or are there any alternatives?

i was thinking perhaps an R34 thermostat instead of the r33 thermostat?

i'm not opposed to electric fans either.

    cheers

  5. OMFG, finally, it is done.

After talking about it for what seems like years I've finally put down some cash.

    ATR43G4 Ordered!

Now just need to get it all fitted.

    I have the following:

    Walbro 460

    Id1000s

    Split fires

    Car already has fitted:

    Exhaust

    Front mount

    PFC

    CAI

    EBC2

Iridiums - will gap down to 0.8mm

    Anyone see anything I've missed?

I'm shooting for 320+ on pump.

ditch the iridiums and get bcpr7es plugs.
