Price drop $1000ONO
-
Selling my coilovers that are currently installed on my N/A 34.
Bought the set last year and they've only run ~15 Thousand km's. My car has never been taken out on the track and is only used for street driving.
These are height and dampening adjustable.
No knocking or weird sounds.
Only selling because I'm going putting the stock suspension back in before i sell the car off.
Purchased from Mercury motorsport ln Sydney last year.
Looking for $1100ONO
Pickup only SE Melbourne. -
You can buy the GPS systems of eBay for about 39 buck !! Good ones to, and you can track your car of your iphone! And you can set it up up underneath the dash where thiefs can't find it.
They're heaps good, but apparently really sophisticated thieves carry jammers with them that disable the GPS trackers, i've read it somewhere in these forums, and it makes sense. Doesn't hurt to have one hidden somewhere though

Good luck finding it man, waste of such a beautiful car otherwise

I don't think they're any more harsh.
Have you offended a neighbour (who might be in the motor trade)?
God i hope not, i usually enter my court in the third or fourth gear, but in the letter it does say 'report lodged by an officer of the Victorian police'?
I'll go in for the test and let you guys know how i go with my little gasket mod.
-
So i got another EPA notice in the mail, my second one in the last two months. My exhaust isn't even that loud
Question being, second time around, are they any more harsh when it comes to the test? I barely passed with an 88dB(out of 90dB) last time.- 1

clean is the way to go, rb26 deserves it

Not as long as the Hoon crap keeps going! In a lot of cases Stance = Defect!
bahaha, too true, have to be careful, depends on the officer(s) that pull you over too, fingers crossed
-
My car is for function, it looks fine too me the way it is.... Not too low, no big wing or kit.... Just plain! Never got the whole stretched/stance craze............ Maybe cus i am old? lol
Haha stance is the way to go now, gonna be around for a while I reckon

i dont think it will go with your skirts tbh
Hmm that's what i was thinking, was keen to see if anyone else had done it haha.
Looks like the stuff some of the guys have been using to make front lips.
If im not mistaken it's just garage door rubber that you double sided tape or screw on.
There is a whole thread on it.
EDIT:
Infact, here it is

Haha maybe i should save my money and buy it from bunnings
thanks guys!

How big are your wheels mate?
I've had the matte black on my wheels for about 6 months, it's great stuff.
Only issues were: can't really clean the wheels by hand as brushes etc are too harsh, and tyre gel looks crap on plastidip!
Bear in mind that when you change tyres it will wreck the edges - I was lazy and just went over the wheels again, however it's started to peel again off one of the fronts, so I'm tossing up on just pulling it off all 4 and redoing it.
I've also pressure washed the crap out of the wheels every single week, it doesn't budge unless it's been 'picked at' on the edges. Even if you do a hatchet job of spraying it like me, you can blend it in easily and it tends to meld together as it dries.
To do wheels at least again, I'd just leave them on the car, put garbage bags on the rotors and do them on the car (after cleaning with dishwashing detergent). About 4 quick sweeps over each wheel is all they really need, ended up being 2 - 2.5 cans from memory.

Hahahaha. too true!
this made me lol. i always see like 33 gtsts on carsales with bodged bodykits and chromies, and in the description theres always "it's a real head turner" and im like yes, but thats because you look like a proper farking douchebag

235 will still stretch onto a 9.5! 255 and 265 tyres look normal!
I have had 235, 255, 265 & 275 on my 9.5's in the past!
Oh wow! 235's it is then! Thanks for the advice
-
Has anyone run a 235 tyre on a 9.5 with +30 offset?
I'm currently running a 225 with that wheel size and the tyre is pretty stretched, will a 235 also be stretched or will the rim sit flush with the tyre?

Hi Mate,
Thanks for sharing. Yes i have heard about the flange/gasket trick but i have a full turbo back exhaust with a massive muffler, so when i do that trick and have it inspected the EPA is not stupid and think that my exhaust could pass that easily. Thats what im worried about at the moment. Bloody cops man pain in the ass! I've own my car for 5 years and this is my 1st time i've got done for my exhaust =(
Haha, no they're not stupid, but its not their business to check how its legal, as long as it is.
to put it into perspective, my gasket(metal plate) was flimsy and when you accelerated above 3K you could hear air escaping like no tomorrow, but the tester didn't say anything!
And i'm sorry, my mistake, the legal limit in vic is 90dB, not too sure why i typed 40 haha
-
Cool thanks for quick reply and straight answers yeah was just going to run a 225 as I have them already was going to run 245 at the rear but price seems to be expensive? All good tho
Would look ace
I used to run a 255 on my 9 and a 235 on my 8.5
Don't worry about money, just do it!
