  1. So I take it you have heard favourable things from Steve then Gav? Good to see that the R will not be staying stock for too long hehe. Hope all is well.
  2. Hey all, Is anyone using an E-Boost? Any feedback, positives/negatives, would be appreciated!
  3. Nothing against Formaz Got Boost, but their name since changing ownership has not been the best. I would be interested in seeing why they do not like the V4...more tuning resolution, faster processor etc, surely that would make it a better product. Maybe they don't like the laptop interface???
  4. Mayhem, The Wolf examples you are talking about, are these the V3 or V4??? As far as I know, the V3 and below were not the greatest on turbo vehicles. The V4 is markedly improved with laptop tuning software etc, plus they are plug in for most popular imports (ala PFC).
  5. Hey dude, I have been looking into this unit myself and it seems to be a very decent piece of kit, at a very attractive price point too! They have released plug-in versions for popular cars such as 'S' series nissans, R33's, WRX's etc. These are a full replacement ECU that can be tuned by a optional hand controller or laptop with appropriate software. The good thing about having the hand controller is that it can display all sorts of info about the car. Check out www.wolfems.com.au for more. Mat
  6. Terminal speed doesn't mean anything?!?!? Ummm, yeah it does tiger. Terminal speed gives a very clear indication of the power your car is producing as well as the time you could expect in "perfect world" conditions. Yes, the time you get is the time you get, but knowing your terminal speed means you should know how fast you could potentially go...gives you more to aim for!
  7. And it is all very well and good to have 400hp etc, but if you cant get the power down, or drive it, or beat someone on the track with 1/2 the horsepower that you have...what is the use? I am over all the "my d1ck is bigger than your's" when it comes to dyno stuff. At the end of the day track times count, not dyno sheets.
  8. Adam, where did you get those figures from? From what I remember, it went something like this for the SilviaWA boys: Me - 159hp (have major fueling and boost control issues at the moment, so ran car at near stock boost) Justin - 219hp Patrick - 259hp Michael - 198hp Michael - 180hp Josh - 165hp The figures were not all that great but everyone seemed to be down on previous runs at other dyno dynamics dyno's.
  9. But on a more positive note...SilviaWA won the "Perth's Hottest Club" award. Not too bad for the 1st time out. We had a heap of fun, did ALL the events etc etc. I was suprised that more of the show and shine entrants did not do the driving events and dyno. I always thought cars were meant to be driven. Drank a lot of beer on Saturday night into the wee hours of Sunday morning hehe.
  10. Well I will be there all weekend...the 14 is in the show as a part of the SilviaWA display, I know, it's not pretty...but at least it is driven daily...and in motorsport event...inlike some of those trailer tarts out there. Drop by the display and ask for "pimp-daddy". everyone should know that refer's to me hehehehe
  11. Don't worry about bringing back pressies Gav, I have been keepin's the missus more than happy whilst you have been away. :-p But in all seriousness, if you need the 'R' run-in for you, oil changes etc...let me know!
  12. But the biggest question remains Gav...does you wife know about it as yet??? I still miss the S15, one of the nicest cars I have had the pleasure to drive...it would have been great to drive it post PFC etc etc.
  13. Dude, speak to Speedworks. Koyama from JUN comes down once a month I am told and I am pretty sure he can tune F-Con's...it may be really expensive though but give them a try.
  14. Don't deal with Jeff, he's an absolute tosser...nice sideburns though... hahaha, just joking, Jeff's a top bloke...his car detailer/washer isn't too hard on the eye's either. :Pimp: As with any aftermarket tuning, you get what you pay for, do not expect much change out of $100-150 per hour for dyno tuning. Mat
  15. Skyzerr33, I should be able to help with the hosting of said video's. Mail me offline ([email protected]). :uh-huh:
  16. Looking forward to seeing the footage...I have bandwidth at work and I am prepared to use it hehehe! Bring it on!
  17. I wouldn't quite call Paul a ****wit. He is however someone who likes his cars but does not do a great amount of research into them. He was probably told by the person selling the car that there were only 6 - 10 N1's in the world and believed him...gullable maybe, ****wit, no.
  18. I understand the public being annoied at the level of noise at some re-group or meet points. There are some absolute tools out there who think that blasting their 130db sound system or revving their engine whilsts parked/stationary is cool. What I do not agree with is cops cracking down on cruising. What gives them the right to target a group of rosd users who choose to drive together? What gives them the right to tell us where and when we can drive, afterall, who is it that pays for the roads and for govt. (Police - Transport Dept.) departments??? Sure, crack down on street racing, but for people that are crusing on public roads and not doing anything illegal...get stuffed.
  19. No GTR badges on it...GT-N1K that is.
  20. yep, with big 19x11 wise sports rims too!
  21. Not sure if he is putting it into Western Salon, I imagine he would, afterall it is a showcar...but one that seems to be driven a lot! Mods that I know of, cosworth pistons, conrods and balanced crank. port and polished cylinder head (got a lot more flow out of this) turbonetics t66 haltech trust external oil cooler kit 850cc injectors custom intake manifold bosh fuel pump and surge tank OS giken twin plate lots more....
  22. Well, how is this lads. My cousin rang up late last week and got a quote to insure a 180sx. We purchased the car on the weekend and are picking it up tonight. He rang RAC this arvo and they said that the quote is now void because they are not insuring any new business who drive imports...existing customers are ok however. This is for a guy who is 32 with 50% NCB!!! He managed to get a covernote through Wesfarmers (who he works for) anyway, and is calling Riaz I think because he fits into their +30 yr old age bracket. Bastards...
  23. Yeah that looks like it...I think he lives accross the road from me!

    info

Are there any places left? I wanna go!!! Car is a ready and willing participant! :burnout: :bahaha:
  25. Was the N1 GTR from Crisafio? I think that used to belong to Paul Rogers (ex-Perth Wildcat, now Adelaide 36er), who has upgraded to an R34 V-Spec. GT-N1K is owned by Nich, thus the N1K part of the plates. It is always at Speedworks because Basil, formerly of Baz Motorworks and now head mechanic at Speedworks, built the car. It is a animal, lots have gone into it. :uh-huh:
