  1. Hi,

These were sent to Baker Brothers in Victoria for an overhaul and revalving and have zero KM on them since. Baker bros generally do not do work for the public and work only on race / rally teams. They are legit Bilstein suspension experts.

Car was valved for fast road / targa based on specs he has used before for such applications. If you want to change springs he has specified a 30% change either way can be done with the current valving.

    - Bilstein B8 designed for lowered cars

    - Adjustable locking collars for height.

    - Could use a paint as they have scratches however who cares as its not a visible part

Cost for the service was $770 and I have the receipts / emails for verification.

Will let go for $700 as I need to move my crap asap due to a move and I no longer need them. Sitting around for a couple of years unused. Can ship interstate if needed.

  2. Hi Guys,

Sorry for the crappy photos... I know its hard to see however these are the only ones of the old dyno pic  I could get, you can make out whats going on though. Its been a lonngg time.

I am in the process of getting ready for a tune... need to get all the new bits etc together and work out what sort of tune I want.

This was the tune that was done on it before. Keen to get ppls thoughts on how this car would perform and if these are ideal curves to make the car as quick and easy to manage in corners as I can for the power. I see so many ways to skin a cat when I look at different dyno sheets and how the cars make power its left be confused after tonnes of reading. What you can see is a very very flat power curve right through which I never see, most seem to be in more of an arc up to max power. The torque curve as you can see ramps up hard and drops off.

This looks very different to most dyno graphs I have seen where power slowly increases to redline rather than getting to full power and staying flat right though 2/3 of the rev range. Would this sort of graph show you that it makes for a quicker more predictable car through corners and fast down the 1/4 seeing as it gets to peak power so fast or is there a better way?

Sorry for all the questions, so much stuff out there i am trying to work out how I should ask to get it tuned.

    Thanks a mil :)

  3. Hi,

I have 2 boost controllers here at the moment, a EVC 5 and Blitz ID. I am thinking of going with the EVC from reviews however its a close call.

I am keen to see how the boost by speed has worked for others. One of the issues I have with my Turbotech ball and spring is that due to the lower load in gears 1 +2 I only get 11-12psi instead of the 16psi I get in 3rd and 4th.  I am hoping to be able to tune this problem out with the EVC. Is this possible ?

One final questions is can I get the silly fast spool up I get with a ball and spring on the EVC?

    Thanks :)

  4. r32 GTR / Z32 Bilstein Coilovers

Set of height adjustable bilstein coilovers. These are the B8 model designed for those that want to run a couple an inch or more lower than standard. I have spent $770 having them properly valved by Baker Bros that specialise in revalving for race teams in Melbourne.

    $850

  5. Bilstein Coilovers R32 GTR

    Hi,

I have a set of bilstein B8 with a coilover sleeve that I had rebuilt and revalved by Baker Bro's in victoria. Baker brothers are very well known in the Rally world for revalving Bilsteins and generally only work with race teams, hence dont advertise themselves. I found them on the net after a bit of digging so sent them off from Sydney.  These were done about 12 months ago. I asked them for a fast street/tarmac rally set up with the valving. The car has sat the whole time in the garage and I am going to go a different direction with it hence they have not even done a single KM.

The spring and shocks/springs have some scratches on the paint as with any older coilovers and will need new rubbers at the top mount, however thay have been refreshed and revalved which is the expensive part.

I am not sure of the rates however they look to be on the higher side (maybe 8 or 6kg)  however with the right valving and application this should not matter. Bilsteins have a wide range of adjustment so you can always change them out if you need harder or softer springs.

Cost to me was $770 inc GST + Shipping both ways to baker bros. I will let them go for $800, I need to clear all the parts I have unfortunately to pay for other things.  I think it very fair price for a custom Bilstein coilover set up.

    Cheers

  6. Greddy Profec OLED or Blitz Spec R Dual Solenoid

    Hi Gents,

Looking at buying one of these two controllers. I know that the OLED is newer than the blitz spec r, however there are lots of great reviews on the blitz and its solenoid. I cant find a lot on the OLED yet.

I guess the questions I have is does anyone have experience with both and any thoughts on each or even dyno graphs? What controls boost better and helps spool faster the blitz twin solenoid or the Profec OLED 3 port?

Any help or thoughts, much appreciated :)
