Hello + Noob Question : Swtich?

Hey guys/girls,

New the to he forums, let me start of by saying everyone seems pretty cool and helpful.

I have recetly got myself a R34 GTT, loving it so far.

I have two questions, what exactly does the "Shift lock Release" do?

Secondly there is a switch with a steeringwheel icon on it, what does this do?

Shift lock release allows you to press the button and change gears without having the ignition on. Broken down & towing etc..

The other button activates the gear change controls on the steering wheel.
