Ceffy
Just got these today, so excited now. They are goin in tomoz. Silkroads coilovers, Rays engineering wheel lug nuts and a free silkroads shaving bag haha. These things are excellent quality. Better than the popular tien products as over 90% of this product is manufactured in Japan, instead of getting them from cheaper countries, making quailtiy lower then others. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/270172-the-devils-cef/page/2/#findComment-4846393 Share on other sites

Nic_A31
TAKUSHI, why dont you put 5 stud hubs into A31 Knuckles, that way you can use A31 / S13 coilovers ? Ceffy
Let me know how those coilovers go man, Im still waiting for pay day before I order mine and might give those a try as well if theyre any good. Coilovers are in and they are wicked, they are the smoothest riding coilovers Ive ever ridden in. Im so glad I bought these over the Trust/Greddy items. There are 10 levels (0 to 9 clicks) of damper adjustment and there is a noticable difference in each level. 0 being a smooth but firm ride and the 9th click is stiff but too bouncy for the street... The removeal of my old coilovers revealed a nasty surpise, I knew that my camber tops were cracked and taking it out it completely split. The removal and install was quite easy, measured the silkroads to about the same height as the old ones and fitted them up. Used all new nuts, bolts and washers as I had almost rounded of an old nut. The coilovers had come with a special offset holed spacer which pulls the upright of the hub out from the knuckle to reduce camber, but Im not sure how it exactly work as the instructions were in japanese, I really gotta learn how to speak/read it.... At first the cars height was a little lower then what it was before, took it for a drive and the wheels were rubingon the front guards. I had 235s on it and got 225s before I fitted the coilovers but should have gotten 215s. I dialed in more camber but it was not the solution and ended up raising the height by 10mm to a height of about 90mm being the lowest point on the side skirt. Unfortuately this is my only post install shot with the RAYS Engineering Lug Nuts, will get more of installed coilovers. Ohhhh k where from an how much for the silkiesvery interested, sept the bottom part of the coilover needs to be different as I have s14 hubs I got the silkroads through Jesse Streeter and bought them for about $1400 in Japan when 1 Aus Dollar was fetching around 82 Yen. It will be more now that the Dollar has gone down, then it was extra for his commission and postage. Good thing is that he can get you anything from Japan direct from the seller and straight to you skipping out on the middle man. Nic_A31
Thats gay man If you use a 25 box, what else needs to be done? can you use R32 eletrical loom? or do you need to modify a Ceffy loom to have an eletrical speedo ? Apparently Supra 5 speed gearboxes are indestructable, but I dont like running big power through adapter plates personally. Not sure but its an easy bolt up, I know you need a navara speedo cable, but my speedo is out already, was going to get one of those speedo correctors from jaycar. R32 electrical loom for what? only plug on it is for reverse lights, and speedo cable is mechanical, no loom. Dont think anyone goes supra box in a nissan. 25 boxes are pretty strong. Ive seen one handle 500hp from a RB30et for a few years now and the dude smashes gear changes when he races.... Ceffy
Clutch and box are in, but theres no drive. Cant even select gears with clutch in, bleed the clutch and adjusted the clutch pedal, with no success, look like the slave isnt getting full travel. spent 12hrs on it yesty getting the box in and trying to fix the problem. Very pissed off with it. Im going to start in gear, drive it, crunch through the gears and blow my box up...........................BANG, done. Nic_A31
Start in gear and shift via rev range, dont touch the clutch at all ? Got to work in peak hour doing that when the clutch fork broke. Rip the works out, put it back in one bit at a time, you'll find whatever's wrong. Ceffy
I couldnt be f**ked to rip it out again, 12hrs lying under it will drive me insane. Ceffy
Got a call from the clutch shop today, problem was found and fixed. I had bent the input shaft on the gearbox when I was putting it in, well more like abusing the sh/t out of the box trying to get it to fit. So yea dont treat your box like sh/t until its in the car. Pick it up tomorrow and then of to the exhaust shop to plumb bov back into the intake. Its getting closer to getting engineered then back on the street... Ceffy
Direct Clutch Service cushion button clutch, 2800lb pressure plate, steel flywheel, ARP flywheel bolts, clutch plate bolts, s-p-i-g-o-t, clutch aliging tool and throw out bearing. Finally got to test it out today and the pedal is so light, contact point is at the bottom of the pedal, opposite of my old one. Almost feels like a stock clutch. Its going to be hard to get used too, espically in traffic... Ceffy
That stubby holder is sick.you're f**kin loaded mate - send some cash my way. Haha, yea I used the cooler that night I bought the stuff. Its good when you got a well paying job. Selecting the right products and parts for the build. But I probably do spend too much on it, more than 2/3 of my salary for this year lol. Ah well I have fun, sometimes....
