Low Compression? Engine Out

was trying to find out why my engine was missing, wouldnt run over 1000rpm when throttle was opened it would rev lower and pop and carry on but idle ok. did a compression check and 1 and 5 had 50psi im assuming thats enough to say the engine is stuffed??

have not taken an engine out of a r33 gtst before, looking at it, it looks like it will be eaiser to pull engine and box out together? is this possible??

keeping in mind im doing it with a engine crane and car is not on a hoist.

I pulled the bolts out of my gbox and removed eng only as it's so long, but a GTS-T should be possible as long as you have a mate to help.

gtrs are a fair bit different compared to gtst i have done a few gtrs and there is no way to get engine out unless box is out too.

Goldgem your a little wrong there. Myself and a friend removed and refitted an engine in my old 32 GTR with out removing the gearbox. No hoist just and engine crane. GTST should be a lot easier.
