  1. Im thinking of getting this notch machined but seems ill have to take out about a 15mm notch height wise Do you not think this will weakin the piston though. Im thinkin ill have to go down this route iv come so far want to complete it then i can show the full build I hear alot about the 4agze piston fitments but know where can i find someone that has done the build just alot of hearsay
  2. Im using the 4AGZE pistons Everything was going ok until this i dont think i have enough room to space them down as im using the rb25 crank and rods not the 26 crank and rods Im a bit gutted any ideas ???
  3. hi there totally awseome build im doing the same but rb22 im having problems with the pistons touching the oil squirters did you have such problems??
  4. Hi there all the rb engines have the same stud pattern for oil pumps as im aware how much would shipping be if you could let me know ill more than likely have this of you
  5. I know the centre bores are the same but i really dont think the rb25det or rb26dett one will fit im still struggling to know whay thickness i need or to work it out ??

  7. I have built the rb22 bottom end with Rb25 crankshaft and rods with 4agze 81.5mm pistons i now need a head gasket to suit my questions: where do i get one to suit the 81.5mm width ?? what thickness do i need ?? Any help really appreciated as im struggling now
  8. Sorry to bring this back again but im almost there with the build, the block is at the engineers being rebored to the 4agze 81.5mm pistons I am now struggling to find the right headgasket how do i know what thickness and where do i get an oversized one from ??? Any help greatly appreciated
  9. There are ways of building on a budget when you can do most of the labour yourself. I have found the part no.s for the 4agze pistons only problem is there appears to be 4 different ones mk1-3 and 0.5 overised. can anyone thats dont the conversion pin point waht ones i need please !!

  11. Any more news on this iv got another rb20det got the crankshaft and rods from an rb25det now need the pistons struggling though ?? What else will i need sorry to take over thread just need some help

  13. Cheers Roy some good advice there i must say i was planning on uprating the oil pump and also fitting an oil cooler. does anyone know of what 4agze pistons i need or where i can get fully forged rb20det ones ???
  14. As title really need some info on the best pistons for the 2.2 build iv got the rb25det crank and rods iv read the 4agze ones are spot on just cant find any are there any new forged alternatives for cheap prices any help appreciated
