  8. i should be heading up there in about 2 weeks to get my ecu re-mapped. Got quoted from them, $630. Thats $150 per hour and $330 for the tune. Told me id have to be on there for about 2 hours. So ye, hopefully all goes well.
  9. yea tru, the only way they'll get me for it is if they take me to EPA i guess.
  10. ye no doubt, i pretty much got it for the looks more than anything. The quicker i get them connected the quicker i can complete my console, so any suggestions on where to go in melbourne, or just any mechanics joint? Cheers, Steve.
  11. i was thinking of the k&n filter but now that 'GTRgeoff' told me the oil based is a defect, i think i may have to go for the dry apexi since theres not much difference in performance and much better to maintain by the sounds of it. As long as the dry filter can take the 200kw without restricting power, then its settled. Cheers fellas, Steve.
  12. Looks like ill be heading for the proffesionals, decided not to play with it before i do something wrong and be back here asking to solve my problems again, lol So i thought id ask if anyone here recommends anyone for these sorts of electrical setups and the price range im looking at getting it done? Cheers, Steve.
  13. Im running 200rwkw, is that enough to stick to paper or is the oil based the way to go? btw thanks for your contribution so far. Cheers, Steve.
  14. bump...
  15. Hey guys, im at the stage of getting my defective parts out of the way, so that means getting rid of my pod filter. Now i have the stock airbox to put back in but im going to replace the panel filter with a hi-flow one. This is my confussion, some people recommend the oil based k&n panel filters because they work a treat, but then other people say that they could damage your afm? And they recommend the dry because its pretty much the same and doesnt affect your afm??? I dont know which to go for, thats why i thought id ask here and see if you guys could help me out? Cheers, Steve.
  16. nah mate, its like 1 model down, based with the same features apart from the colour screen and it can connect an ipod i think. But everything else is pretty much the same. Id know, my dads got the DEH-P9650MP, and when i go through his settings n shit, its like goin through mine. So ur basically gettin the same thing except its like a blue screen instead of colour.
  17. Hey guys, just bought myself another head unit so theres no need for this one no more. Its a great hu, folds down to ur choice with a bright screen displaying your choice of animations along with your basic settings for your sub-woofer if in use, speaker settings, equalizer and so on. Pretty much the basic mp3/wma player for your needs. Comes with 6 rca outputs, 2 for front speakers, 2 for rear and 2 for sub-woofer. You can either have the face down with the screen showing or you can have it closed and still have the music going. Also de-tachable face along with a case provided with sale. Asking price, $200 neg. Pics... Cheers, Steve.
  18. cheers buddy, that helps a little better. Oil temp gauge seems complicated to install. Ill give the air/fuel ratio a go and hopefully is all the same with these instructions. Cheers, Steve.
  19. Hey guys, im in abit of a situation with a set of gauges im trying to install. I have the oil temp, volt and air/fuel gauge to connect and i dont know where to start, and i also dont want to pay some mechanic to do it if i could do it myself. So i was just wopndering if anyone here could be kind enough to help me out. Itll be much appreciated. I have a sorta basic diagram of the volt and oil temp installation but not very helpful. Just wondering where the oil temp sensor would be, anyone know? And where do i start with the air/fuel ratio? Any help would be great guys. Cheers, Steve.
  20. Hey guys, im in search for a particular carbon fibre bonnet for my r32, just wondering if anyone could help me out, or point me in the right direction to get 1 similar. or Cheers, Steve.
  21. Hey guys, im in search for standars r32 rear pods, in gun metal grey colour. Ill be getting rid of the rear pods that came with the car, supposebly v-spec according to the previous owner. Ive seen some v-specs with it on and with it off, so if its original v-spec i wouldnt know. Anyway, heres a pic of what they look like... Cheers, Steve.
