  1. hey guys, brought a car that was half way finshed for a +t, got the engine running sweet as after a day. The seller had already done the manual conversion with an rb20det gbox! I know when doing this you need to remove the spigot berring from the auto engine, My question is what would hapin if he did not do this? would it still bolt up? The reason im asking is i cant get the slave to bolt up its to long even tho the slave is from my other car witch is rb0det gbox! What do you guys think is going on im not really keen to drop the box as this is the 7th gbox change this year getting over it. Cheers
  2. hey guys got me a Walbro GSS341 255L/H fuel pump today installed it, when it primes it pulses is this normal? i cant here it over my exhuast while the car is running the ones on youtube sound very loud and there is no pulsing did i get a dud pump?
  3. hey guys I recently got an rb25det engine from an importer to replace my blown one they sent me it apparently cam out of a stagea around 1998 they believe, all i got was the long block so after allot of time and effort trying to start this beast i have finally found out why it was not starting, the cas I had from the previous engine that blew was the metal type witch does not mate properly with the exhaust cam i need the black plastic cas from ether a late rb25det or an r34 neo engine. my question is what other differences are there going to be once i get this plastic cas is it going to start or will i need the ecu from the engine as i still have the one from the rb25det series 2 from an r33 skyline. I did read that the only difference is the plastic cas and the exhaust cam but I want to be sure, best to get sent the loom and ecu at the same time if the one I have is not going to work!
  4. hmm what about a resleve? i'm pretty sure it was a bolt down the spark hole that was the culprit but cant be sure engine dne 110,000km never started just cranked it over a few times. still think throw away? i think the head is fkd as the valve stem has snapped so the seat would be gone?

  8. hey guys, Im up to the wireing side of things. I have an r32 skyline just put a rb25det motor in from an r33 skyline 1996 series 2. before i get started with my wireing problem I just want to say the accelarator cable fit perfictly is there a reson for this as alot of people have said they are to short. powerstering bracket canot be switched over becuase it does not fit with the r32 pump, so I had to use the r32 bracket and pump but there is a problem the pully wheels do not line up, Since I dont have an A/c compresser I can use the aircon crank pully for my P/S but the A/c pully is a smaller wheel will this be an issue at all? maybe a loss in steering assist? And for the wireing, I am very bad with wireing things up but I can and will persist I have wired my sterio system up 3 amps and what not so I know the basics I can folow most of the guides for this on the net. Im using my rb25det loom and ECU I still have the old 20det loom but do not want to use this as it is over 22 years old and very brital, The main thing I dont understand is the Series 2 what is the difrence in wireing these up can I just folow the series 1 guides and be ok? or are there a few little changes I must do. Just to clear things up the only cutting and wireing I should be doing is in the passanger footwell cut the plugs of the r32 loom? or do I also need to cut the plugs from the r32 loom by the P/S in the engine bay? with these few questions answerd I should be away.
