  1. As the topic states, are jun 272 10.5's to big for 500 rwhp? running a gt3540 .82 is that going to make a laggy street car? i'm not really after peak power just meaty midrange.
  2. RB 30 bottom series 2 original bore or a complete rb30 motor.. in perth CHeers email [email protected]
  3. does it go on the year the engine was made, or the year the car was? cheers
  4. Sydneykid are you replying to the main question or are you just talking about the jap performance r33? Cameron do you know what CR he was running? There are alot of conflicting reports..
  5. cheers thats awsome, so the 505hp is at flywheel?
  6. yere man but some of us whatz jusyt want to know whata a gt3540 .082 will create NO MORWE MSGS off chops
  7. we know you can make well over 400rwkws on a 1.06 but the issue here is doing it on the .82 in reasonable boost level.. you cant run 35 psi everyday on the road, engine wont last 2 years..and the turbo would be hurting..
  8. nice article but without the wheel sizes it's not proving anything. <quote> well on 1.7 bar with our gt3040 .82 we made 375rwkws and 365rwkws on 1.5. After 1.5 it was starting to blow hot air and power wasnt increasing much as you can see. </quote> This sounds promising! whats cams did you have? ill br running 272,10.3's so i dont really want to go the 3540 (1.06)
  9. yerp mite have to go the 1.06 exhaust, i think sydneykid had one making : ___________________________ Calcs.......... 632 bhp = 472 kw less ~60 kw (2wd) = 412 rwkw The average power from 4,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm is massive and it's not straining at all. A/F ratios are not over 12 to 1 anywhere and the knock is less than 20. Cams and a bit more airflow (no more boost required) it would make 500 rwkw easily] Ah the old RB30, used it in the car once and then someone paid me enough for it so I could build a bigger and better RB31DET. The GT35R had a 1.06 A/R turbine, with the T4 flange. The compressor A/R was 0.70. Boost was ~1.7 bar (25 psi), the dyno graphs went with the engine as part of the sale ______________________________ see what r33_racer comes up with...bugga hey so my next question is where do i buy exhaust wheels from?
  10. well the t04z is a 750 hp the gt3540 .82 is a 600hp How much boost are we talking about? i dont really wanna run more then 24psi everyday..
  11. champion, exactly what i'm after Can you try grab a dyno graph? cheers
  12. you might have your price wrong? you can buy brand new in perth for $3600
  13. As the topic states is there anyone punching out more then 400rwkws with the .82 or should i upgrade to the 1.06 itl be running in a 26/30 combo I'm having doubts as it might be to much of a stretch with the .82 any comments? Cheers
  14. Guys (sk) what do you bore the return lines in the head and block out to? i am running the 26 head. Thanks Damm it's to late just rang head torque and they have assembled the head, to get them bored they would have to strip the head cost more $$$$ Farrk
  15. I think we should consult the Oracle.. someone point sydneykid to this thread! or my mrs she seems to think she knows everything..
  16. If 5500rpm is the magic number that the power noses over, regardless of power like your saying there are a few cars that nose over at 5500rpm with 200kw, then you get cars that run 320kws and nose over, then i cant see how it is the plenum because 320kw's is flowing way more air then a 200kw so i dont see a plenum restriction.. what happeneds at 5500rpm, vvt? (when does this step up) duty cycle? I know youve been around for ages cubes, i think it's a bit to wierd.
  17. ok cubes then is the 26 plenum "suited to the 3ltr" bottom end Cheers
  18. so the 25 plenum runs outa flow at 300rwkw when does the standard 26 plenum?
