  1. yep, real pics of my exhaust can be seen: http://au.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/kklyeung click on car stuff. there are scratches on the underside of it, but nothing unusual for lowered cars. i've been asking whether it'll fit gtst and the response for far is that it would...no confirmed yes or no yet though aybee: have a look at the bends and mounting points from the pics in the link, are they the same as a gtst? cheers
  2. i was wondering if a cat back gtr 32 exhaust will fit gtst's? would it be a direct bolt on or are the bends and mounting points totally different? cheers.
  3. sorry mate, a bit too low considering that this mines costs approximately 3 times more than other name brands like HKS, Blitz etc. does any1 know if cat back are the same between r32 gtr and gtst or gts-4?
  4. jonnimo: sorry mate, totally forgot about this thread. so far, nightmare5 has offered 60 plus postage charges. how about $65 plus postage and it's yours? cheers mate
  5. catback Mines exhaust system for sale to suit BNR32. in good condition. 3 inch with 4 inch tip. in Brisbane. open to offers.
  6. from what the instruction implies, yes. it will cut (or raise) by the set amount and will do this everytime it boosts until you take your foot off and hits a negative pressure. so even if you dont change gears (say you leave it in second) and put your foot down, the first 2 seconds will be what the scramble is set at. if you take your foot off and stomp the accel again, it will again scramble for 2 seconds before returning to normal boost settings.
  7. there are two kits available from nismo: ones a solid shift kit which reduces throw by 10% and the other is called a quick shift kit which reduces it by 25% but is only available for GTR's and gts-4
  8. do you understand what i mean? (example again) because you have 4 preset boost settings now if your setting is: 1) 30 2) 35 3) 40 4) 50 after setting your scramble to (example C2 P10) and you choose boost level 1 (which is 30) then this means that it will over boost to a ratio of 40 for 2 sec. now on the other hand, if you turn the boost channel to 4 (which is 50) it will overboost to 60 for 2 seconds. is this explaination better?
  9. ok...that mode is called the scramble mode. C is how many seconds you want to overboost or underboost P is the stage setting. FOR EXAMPLE ONLY: say your normal settings are Gain: 20 Ratio: 40=0.85 bar boost Ratio: 50=1.0bar boost (say, this is your normal setting) Ratio: 60=1.2bar boost if you want to overboost for 3 seconds to 1.2bar: set C to 3 and P to 10 (what this means is that your normal setting is 50 and the P setting will increase that by 10=60 giving you 1.2bar) if you want to cut down your boost to 0.85bar for 2 sec: set C to 2 and P to negative 10 (-10). the end result will be 50 minus 10=40 giving you 0.85bar.
  10. you should have a setting where it's a C and P...i'll go check my instruction booklet. hang on.
  11. hi mate i've got a dsbc spec-r too and if you hold down the button, all 4 numbers flash. that's the gain setting. in the instruction, single turbo cars should set that at 20 as a starting point. twin turbos should have it at 5. you are right though, the higher this number is, the quicker it will boost but it will also be prone to spiking before it settles down higher in the rev range. trial and error would be the best way to set your desired boost as all cars are different depending on what mods they have got. if i were you, i'd set the gain to 20, and set the stages (1-4) with trial and error starting with 15, 20, 25, 30 etc until you get to roughly the boost level you want to run and then use increments of 1 to fine tune it. use the peakhold for each setting if you're unable to safely look at how the car is boosting and driving at the same time (best if you've got a mate with a keen eye and knows a bit about the dsbc spec-r) other features it has is a warning function which is very good. you can set the warning boost level where it will sound if you go over the preset limit. not only that, it will automatically turn down the boost for you (you need to set this up though) until it reads a negative pressure (when you've taken your foot off the accel) another feature is the time and boost feature which allows you to run a set amount of boost for a set amount of time. for example, if you've got a bad traction problem, you can set the unit to boost at 0.8bar for 2sec before it climbs to 1.0bar then, you can enjoy full throttle take offs without having to smoke the tyres too badly. hmmm....i think that's basically it......
  12. autobacs is cool if you just want to have a look because they've got so much stock in there, it's like a dream come true.i heard that the tokyo bay superautobacs is the best one to go to (huge!). but if you actually want to buy...errr...pretty damn expensive! depending on which part of tokyo you're going to, and if you're willing to travel a bit, another shop that's worth visiting is a shop in Chiba called Crystal. i've been there and they're not lying when they advertise themselves as the biggest tuning shop (in size) in all of Japan! i can give you the address of it if you want. if you're actually looking for bargain parts, then i would have to say, go to a used parts shop. but being used parts, it's a bit of a gamble as they might not have anything for your car and would have been a waste of travelling time
  13. to be honest, it didn't go well at all. it most probably got damaged in the postal system (although i packed it up really, really good with heaps of bubble wrap) and the cd is skipping. getting it sent back to me with a full refund. but it's cool, i'm not the kind of person that would sell something dodgy anyway. probably hook it up to my cd changer and use the deck as an equalizer...plus it does look quite flash
  14. hi streamer, the head unit is not for sale anymore. sorry mate. cheers.
  15. it will fit basically any manual car as i've still got all the different attachments needed to fit any car. by the end of this week, it's going to the highest bidder. jonnimo: you're the highest bidder so far!
  16. got a momo gear knob for sale. used for about a month before i was able to get my hands on a new original r32 one. in excellent condition, basically brand new. want $90. buyer pays COD or can meet with you if you are in Brisbane.
  17. oic...too bad mate, couldn't help ya. was going to sell them cheap too...
  18. hi rick, i've got a set of cusco adjustable rear upper arms for sale if you're interested. although mine came out of an S14, it also fits an r33 gtr (same product code) you can confirm it on cusco web site: http://www.cusco.co.jp/02ctlg/2sus/sus_4.jpg pm me if you're interested!
  19. thanks mate. i'll try there and see if i can get more for it!
  20. i'm slightly negotiable as i understand that it is an old head unit and 300 bucks could get you MP3 capabilities but honestly, if you want sound quality, those low end gear cant produce the sound that this one can. pm me your offer and we'll talk more. cheers.
  21. yep, comes with an unused remote! (unused because i cant see why i should fiddle around with the remote when it's easier just pressing the buttons on the head unit itself????)
  22. the head unit is rated at 40wx4. for a bit more info, i found this link on the net: http://marketplace.consumerreview.com/cgi-...query=retrieval
  23. Double din is good. nothing wrong with it. has all the features that you would need. i'm sure it works fine as i only took it out of my car recently. i bought the head unit end of 1999.
