I know it's not a skyline but i'm selling it so i can get a skyline... 2005 Subaru Impreza RS Wagon 144xxx kms Manual Registration until December (won't be sold with plates displayed) Serviced every 5000kms Modifications: Injen Intake Borla stainless UEL headers, OBX-R high flow cat (single cat conversion), Full stainless exhaust to cannon muffler, Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch, Single Mass flywheel conversion (no common 'squeal' that comes from a failing dual mass flywheel), GFB short shifter, Strut braces Front & Rear, King Spring Ultra Lows, Standard 16" wheels plastidipped matte black, Aftermarket Headlights (halos need new globes), Tailights 2pac cleared with tint, Darkest legal tint on all windows, darker than legal in wagon, Roof Rail Delete, Debadged completely, Interior A Pillars have been colour matched black, Headliner has been covered in black Suede, Paint is generally good although being red requires regular detailing to keep it bright. A few scrapes that were on it when I got it and no accident history, Some photos show a WRX bonnet on the car. This has since been removed and the standard bonnet put back on. All standard exhaust, intake and suspension come with sale. This is a great little car with more power than standard due to its modifications. It has been so much fun to own and work on building up. It sounds amazing, has great handling and plenty of response. Only selling as I'm looking for something more powerful and I don't have the money to mod this further in order to get what I want out of it. $12,00 PRICE NEGOTIABLE.   3. I was watching the Drifts at Winton and noticed when cars come out of the dummy grid that some spin the wheels easier then others... AND... They dont seem to be that fast when they come by on the gas... I am starting to wonder if it is indeed something to do with the rear alignment maybe? Maybe a little toe with no camber makes it quite twitchy? Not sure... That is why I thought I might ask the question as to what seems to work for people so I could try some things out because if I listen to my locals they just say roll SOOO much Caster into it that suspension arms hit, then cut the arms so they clear, then max out your Camber, then bodge the arms using a welder and some bolts and stuff to make MORE Camber, (0 toe, always 0 toe never need toe blah blah blah - hahahaa) and multi grip your gaurds with HellaFlush wheel sizes and offsets... I figure you guys are a bit more professional hahahaa! Thanks for the input guys.
  4. There is a group that meet fortnightly on the Border called BorderMotive. Its a family friendly program allowing car enthusiasts to hang out and get there weeks car talk off their chests whilst enjoying a a nice breakfast and drinks from the cafe (Cafe Elmwood - Wodonga) ranging from Coffee to Tea, Soft drinks or water... Whatever takes your fancy at the time. The group has a Facebook page to stay connected between meets and to keep an eye on updates like the calendar, times and upcoming events. Come on in and have a chat to the friendly locals and see if what our community gets up to is your 'cup of Tea'... Or Coffee!
  5. No trouble mate, thank you for the compliment, I have 156 shots thus far but as you can imagine there are alot of funny shots, double ups etc... We will narrow them down and post up the ones that explain things best and show things all done... Just really think its best to put up all the shots late next week when we get the car back and I can show you all the Dyno runs too... I cant wait!
  6. Hey guys, just thought I should update you, I have been knuckling down and redoing most of my car since joining you guys, we have carried out... Gearbox freshen up, new button clutch, lightened flywheel, rebuilt and shimmed diff, 2 new tyres, new bushes, alot of cleaning, neatening up of things like bumper mounts, wiring, plumbing etc... Engine out - good degrease of all the bay and tunnel, new hoses, engine mounts, rack ends, tie rod ends, trunion bearings, nolathane bush kit from front to back of it, water pump, gates racing timing belt kit, crank seals, cam seals, high flow thermostat, fuel filter, iridium plugs, the usual fun bits like a couple stickers got slapped on, new turbosmart blow off valve purchased and fitted because it was just dosing and I hope to keep it alive the best we can so I figured it was cheap insurance, then continued on maintenanced based things like oil, filter, coolant etc which made it in to the mix after we stripped the engine for its freshen up - CP forgies, cometic head gasket, fully balanced, honed 40thou o/s, decked block, shaved head, polished valves, full nissan genuine gasket kit half manifold gasket and all, race series bearings, all sorts of add ons joined in like turbosmart fuel pressure reg, billet adjustable steering wheel spacer (->80mm) etc, got the fuel system a nice new run of teflon braided lines to supply the surgie and 044 and down to the factory lines under the car then up to the twin entry fuel rail to get rid of the incorrect lines that had been fitted previous to purchasing the car that were leaking vapour - yes, in the boot it smelt of fuel near the battery (yuk), I did have some fun also by doing the bonnet stop removal and some panel alignment work, then we hit up the new precision head bolts, main bolts etc and started closing her all up. I did get a bit of paint work in while we were going like the valve covers, block, sump etc to neaten the finished look for once we were all done. We are currently waiting on the car to get tuned and Im sure Ill be able to set you all up with some photos soon, we will upload the photos that we have plus the photos from the tune and dyno sheets etc once the car comes back... Im hopeless and I apologise in advance because Im new to forums so I may get side tracked enjoying the car before posting pics but I will update you once I have all the shots together...
  7. Perfect example, just watching RaceFactory 1, the japanese are drifting their full road cars and their track cars - regardless whether it is their daily or the track car their alignments wouldnt stand out to you if they drove past you in the street. This is what I am looking for...
  8. I have a local guy with an EF Ford Falcon that says adjust your caster til arms hit, then cut the arms so you can go further, then max your camber out til your car looks like a hovercraft... I understand people can't tell me the perfect setup but can people post up what camber, caster and toe settings that arent bad or work well for them so when i go in to work on Saturday and put my car on the aligner i can go to -3.0 cam, +xxx cas, 1mm toe in etc... please. Our Beissbarth aligner can use inputs, so Im just looking for different setups to try out. I'll work out whats best for me, I just need some to trial. Please and thanks.
  9. Hey guys, my next step with my 33 is some alignment work. Has anyone got a some alignment specs that have worked well for them while staying as a road rego'd common use car? I dont mind what happens to comfort or tyre wear... Caster Camber Toe
