  1. this is one of their better issues... i have every one from issue 4. if someone wants to sell me 1,2 and 3, name your price and i'll consider it =)
  2. I'm always hearing about the horror stories of import an R32 GTR. Clutch/gearbox failures, engine rebuilds, turbo rebuilds etc. Has anyone imported one without needing to fork out a lot of extra cash (<$2k) on arrival for fixing problems? What did u look out for before you bought the car? When buying from auctions, are buyers able to have things like compression tests and detailed reports done? Thanks for any help.
  3. generally, is insurance expensive moreso because of the accident history of a car or the theft rate of it?
  4. I'm sure this has been asked before, but i can't seem to find the thread. Anyway, I've read that the build quality of the skyline is better because its more of a GT car. But how does the 180sx compare to a R32 gtst or gts4 mod for mod? It seems like 200rwkw out of a RB20DET should be quite achievable with a FMIC, exhaust, new turbo and remapped ECU? Would the same work for the SR20DET? Also, out of the gtst and gst4, which would be the 'better' skyline? Lastly, would a GTR be worth over twice the price of a gtst/4? Sorry about the huge number of questions (which have probably been answered a million times already), but any more help would be appreciated!
  5. What are the 0-100 and 1/4 mile times for an R32 GTS4?
  6. lets say, i bought a '93 VSpec for a good price with a rooted engine... how much would it cost to have the engine completely rebuilt?
  7. I'm second year uni and am only 19. I'm putting away about grand a month towards a car, still undecided on what though. I have just under 2 years before I'm off my P's, so till then, no own car and my mum's camry is where its at. I have enough saved to buy something decent now, but I don't see the point in having to pay ultra high insurance. By 21, I'll have enough to buy a car (S15? R32 gts4/GTR?) outright and have a decent amount to keep investing for a house/apartment in a couple of years after that. I've worked for everything I have and I'm lucky I have a good part time job. Still spend around $150 a week on food, drinks, clubs, whatever else. All my friends have NICE cars (306 xsi, 206 GTI, Audi A4 3L, new SLK) bought by their mummy's and daddy's. My parents would never buy me a car, not even mentioning a house. To sum up: work hard and make some good investments. Try not to get into debt while young or rely on others.
  8. What's the fuel economy like for the RB20DET stock? What about when it's modified to around 200rwkw?
  9. actually, don't worry...just found the thread on what aftermarket turbo is being used on your rb20 and that's extremely useful :headspin:
  10. I'm looking for the dude with the R32 gts4/gts-t that puts out 140rwkw, aiming for 200-220kw. Just want to know what mod's he's done to achieve this and what he'll be doing to get up to 200rwkw.
  11. Hi all, i've been reading through your forums and searching for things i'm interested in, but i can't find much on the feature/dollar value of buying a normal R32 GTR and one with V-Spec. The only notable differences i've noticed are the wheels (16" --> 17"), updated ECU? and brembo brakes instead of the 'normal' ones. I think that the R32 GTR's are being sold at around $20k --> $25k and V-Specs generally around $5k more. Is the V-Spec worth the extra money? correct me if i'm wrong anywhere too!
