Hi, I've taken a pic of the drivers side where the washer bottle is located but dont know how to upload it. I'll find out and post it but in the mean time, where the tow hook is located, that is approx. where the hole needs to be cut but I definitely have a washer bottle covering that area. DaleFZ1, sounds like you mentioned something about cutting off the lower mounting tag of the washer bottle, so i think i mite have something similiar. I'll check your pics once their up.

Hi, I've got a R33 Series II GTST and is considering buying a hybrid cooler piping kit. I have read the installation manual on this site however I've realised that I have a windscreen spray bottle located in the bottom left hand side where the piping to the intake manifold is supposed to go. So to those guys with S2's and hybrid FMIC kits, how did you get around this? If not how did you set up your cooler piping?? Any help would be great. Regards Steve

Ignitor Coils... Difference between S1 and S3 R33 GTST
Scooby_Steve replied to Scooby_Steve's topic in General Maintenance
Hi, I've taken out my coils but I left my camera elsewhere but my coils look exactly like the ones in the pics on page 2 or 3 of the "missfire @ 4500rpm" thread". Is that enought to distinguish a S1 or S2 motor? Also from looking in the engine bay, cannot see a little black box on top of the valley cover but it could just be me not knowing what i'm looking for. Any more help would be great. Thanks Regards Steve -
Missfire Boost@4500-5500 RPM - The Answer! (for me at least!)
Scooby_Steve replied to Nightman's topic in General Maintenance
Hi, Had my coils taped up and it seems to have fixed the problem but if i'm in 4th and decide to give it some, the car will cut out, then all of a sudden pick up again. Apart from that and flat spots all is good. Currently running 10psi with a 3" turbo back exhuast and fmic, and pod filter. So i have bought a pack of "DynaGrip" plastic weld but it says on the back that this product is not suitable for polyethelyne or another poly plastic but not polyutherane. So is this product suitable to be used on the coils? the reason why i ask is that it has a temp resistance up to 160 Deg so i thought that should last a little longer than tape etc. Any help would be great. Thanks Steve -
Ignitor Coils... Difference between S1 and S3 R33 GTST
Scooby_Steve replied to Scooby_Steve's topic in General Maintenance
Hi Guys, Thanks for your help but still confused. I'll get a pic of my coils and post them but in the mean time, any links to any S1 and S2 engine pics (pics of the coils)? -
Hi, Just wondering how you can determine the difference between a S1 and S2 R33 GTST ignitor coils? I've read the S2 are slightly different. If anyone has any pics of a S1 and S2 ignitor coil could you please post them or put a link to them. Reason why i ask is because I'm pretty sure i need new ignitor coils but I am unsure if my motor is a S1 or S2 even though the car is a S2 (just the thought of an engine replacement). Thank you. Regards Steve

Hi, I just bought a SSQ BOV and got one of those weld on adapters (curvy looking things).. Just wondering how I go about welding this so I can get it fitted to my skyline (RB25DET)? Do I need to get a flange? Do I also need other pipes?? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. One more thing, am I just able to buy an adapter that will fit the SSQ BOV to the cooler piping without requiring me to welding it? If so, where can I find one? Regards Steve

Hi, I'm considering buying a HKS GT2835 turbo but i've noticed that there are many versions of this turbo, eg. the GT2835 Pro S and I think just the standard GT2835.I've noticed that the flange types are different on these two models, one having a T3 and the other a T25. Also, there are different A/R specs on some of the turbos. Could someone please indicate which would be the better buy for a RB25DET. Currently I'm assuming a GT2835 Pro S (so it has the T3 flange) with a A/R of 0.68. Is this A/R too small for my car? The other choice is a A/R of 0.87. Any help would be great. Thank you Regards Steve

Hi, Just to add my 2 cents worth... A stock wrx will definitely be quicker down the qtr than a stock r33 GTST.... I know because my brother has a 99 wrx and it could do the qtr mile quicker than my stock r33 GTST. The boost should not be used as argument, as to run 14psi on a std wrx is standard so is to run 7psi on a R33 GTST. Well that's all I gotta say, but the R33 is much more fun!!

R33 4-doors for sale
Scooby_Steve replied to gaffa20882's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, Any other bits??? let me know.. -
Hi, My "ABS" light on my car came on and stayed on a few weeks ago (after I taped up my ignitor coils). I have read that taping up the coils and the ABS problem I am experiencing are not related. I have my car (R33 GTST SII) to my mechanic and from the Hand held dignostic computer he has, he has informed that the ABS fault is due to a rear solenoid for the ABS being faulty. He has managed to clear the error code however continues to rea-appear. He has inspected the solenoid and said it all looks good. Has anyone had this problem??? if so could you please let me know how to rectify it. Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for the nissan ABS units. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. Regards Steve

Hi, I was going to buy an Apexi Power FC however I was just wondering if there are different versions in regards to "older"and "newer"versions? If there are different versions, what is the latest? is there a distinguishing feature eg.version 4.x.x? The place in mind of where I am going to purchase it from is nengun.com. Hi, Rev210 I much appreciate your help..I'd love to get to a drag strip but there just aint one near me and I dont feel like driving 4hrs to one (closest one). So from you've said, I should be pulling roughly bout 15's?. I know a mate who's got consistent 13.4 - 13.5 sec pass (official time from a drag strip, papers and all) and he ran on a G-tech and could only get 13.8's (same setup etc). Lastly, any launch tips for the time when I get on a proper track? PLEASE? RPM, tyre pressure etc would be great. Thanks again. Steve
