  1. Becoming the Archetype - Dichotomy As I Lay Dying - Paralyzed
  2. That sounds awesome! I wonder how hard that would be to ship it to the states?
  3. Nice! I'll have to pick one up
  4. I'm in on that but I'm in the U.S. Kinda on my own when build a skyline
  5. I didn't know that since all the skylines Ive seen have wipers. I guess I will have to keep an eye out now. I'm sure they gotta be $$$$
  6. I seen that they're like a billet machined piece. Did you paint yours?
  7. I'm not familiar with the N1 window idea? Does the N1 not come with a rear wiper?
  8. I've looked into those. Do you have a pic of it installed? Does it fit flush or pop up a bit?
  9. Yeah, already read that thread. Thanks though.
  10. I'm sure there's a few of you that have removed the rear wiper. I've looked into a few options and seen like the one on EBay that has a machined bung. What I'm asking is how does it look when done? Does anyone have pics of theirs done? Do they leak? Does anyone know of any other methods to clean this up besides a bung? Me personally have found the rear wiper fugly on cars. Wouldn't mind eliminating it completely.
  11. Build, race, destroy, rebuild.

  12. Looks amazing and clean!
  13. Thanks josh for the insight to your arrogance. Actually this is the 11th rb I've built and second skyline owned but first skyline with auto. My question was specific. This was a question to the masses of SAU which why it was posted as an open topic form instead of directed personally to an individual. In doing so gains insight and difference of "factual" information from those who give it to those who ask on here a better stance on which way to proceed. Isn't that why forums were designed for initially? Instead of telling someone that they know nothing, degrade by arrogance, and refer them to read because of your lazy stature, then by all means shut up. But if you are indeed a true petrol or gear head, love Motorsports, and would rather help your fellow car enthusiast than destroy... by all means continue on through the forum and help with your experience and knowledge to the best of your capabilities. To me there is no stupid question, I understand not everyone has encountered the same issues as you or I, and I will keep enjoying others personal gains as they build what they seem "cool". The question was simple. Can an auto transmission and drivetrain in a series 1 R33 GTS-T handle 500 US horsepower? Because I am unaware of the answer to this question, I asked.
  14. I'm not going that route. No reason to have that much power in a Skyline. 500 is plenty. If i wanted more, I'd do a LS swap. Thanks for the info though. It's helpful. Just wondering about the drivetrain and its reliability.
  15. Yes. I know that term. I steer far from that. Heat dissipation and heat soak become issues
  16. Yeah, look at the price tag. $15k isn't exactly cost efficient. Wouldn't mind spending $4k on a trans but not $15k. I couldn't ask $15k or more on an upgrade like that. There's a reasonable percentage you can ask for when selling your car when heavily modded. But I must admit, that HKS kit would be a dream to have.
  17. Is that like installing thicker cylinder sleeves? If so, I understand that.
  18. Oh, I forgot you guys recognize different measurements than us Americans. Good! I was hoping it would.
  19. Do they make new gearboxes? I was thinking on ordering a used one if I come back with the car and doing a refresh on it. I'd love to do a ratchet trans but putting that kind of money in a transmission is hard to ask for it back.
  20. Word is that the stock bottom end of the RB blocks handle almost 1000hp. That's what I guess I'm asking. What kind of power the stock RB gearbox auto and manual would hold along with the rest of the drivetrain.... Has people snapped axles or C/V's?
  21. If the car doesn't sell there at the show I do plan to. Was just curious. What about the manual gearbox and other components?
  22. What kind of punishment can you put the stock drivetrain through before upgrading? I have a R33 with an auto. My HP goal is 450-500. Motor is built for it and just recently installed it back into the car. Haven't started it yet cause waiting on a few more parts to come in the mail. I've been so wrapped up with other stuff that I just realized that I haven't touch the drivetrain. Wouldn't mind going to a manual but running out of time for this to debut at a show and sourcing parts here in the US is difficult. (car must be driven 600 miles to attend) Can the auto transmission, torque convertor, drive shaft, rear diff, etc handle this power? I've attached the vin plate for better insight.
