Saw a Gunmetal Grey one in Dande near work when I was pulling into the carpark last week. Nearly missed the carpark entrance looking at it. Had proper vic plates.
Guy at work has seen 2 previously before Christmas crusining along Dande-Frankston road

Has anyone got one of these platseats and a G25 steering wheel, pedals and gearbox?
I am thinking of getting one. They are around 1G with the adjustable seat and G25. Theres an aus dristributer in QLD.

I never said the W427 looked good, it was more about the quickest Aussie car built
And at an estimated $150K the most expensive.
Quite stupid comparing the new FG range with the W427 and saying the W427 will be faster.

I was going to get a 06 STI when I was looking for a new car in 06 but the cheap looking interior turned me off. Why pay 60K for a car with the same interior as the 20K base model.
There are 2 main types of interiors, luxury and boyracer. You fit into one of these through the course of your life.

You dont buy a car with a nice interior so other people on the road can look at it, you buy it coz you like nice interiors and its a nice place to sit in.

I will be looking at getting the G6E Turbo in a few months time. Preety decent interior for an aussie built car.
And for all those saying its ugly and it has platic this and some other winge... look in your garage at what ur driving first before hanging shit on other cars

Run some fishing line at shin height across the driveway, connect the end of the fishing line to something that will fall and make a loud noise (eg. frying pan or some shit). Cant remember where i saw this.. most likely on TV.

hmmmm... havent put mine in yet... just went to a new taxman. To give you an idea... my mate is with this guy and pays around 22k in tax a year... he gets back 18k a year
hoping mine is something similar... altho it probably wont be until next year.
Damn! He must be claiming all sorts of things to end up only paying 4K a year in tax, otherwise the government wouldnt always have billions of surplus every year. He must be writing expenses off to businesses and houses etc??
I payed around 18K of tax last financial year with a 15K a year untaxed car allowance. I will be luck to get back even a 1/4 I recon.

Me and the mrs have bough3 new cars in the last few years, 2 new mazda 3's for her 1 VE SS for me.
All their additional accessories they try and sell you are marked up 200-300% over what you could get it yourself for. Did they try and sell you the mazda special car wash?? We got a few bottles for free, and its rubbish stuff, leaves scuff marks and doesent clean heavy dirt off.
First new mazda 3 we bought we got from dande dealer and they wantd to charge $750 for tinted windows. I found out where they would get it done and it was the same place I got my car done 2 weeks prior or 1/4 of the price.

I went from a 300+rwkw R33 to a VE SS and have not looked back.
The way I see it is that they are 2 different cars for different needs, my needs changed so I am very happy with the my SS. Plenty of easy mods to get the V8's to over 300rwkw.

I had a similiar type situation a few years ago when I had my R33 where the cops 'estimated' my speed by following behind me and matching my speed, and I was to loose my license for 1 year.
It was BS on the part of the cops of the speed they 'estimated' and 'matched' so i contested it and took it to court. Before the court date I got all the details from where to where they followed and matched my speed etc. A simply calculation of acceleration and velocity from the intersections they said they matched my speed proved that only way they could accelerate and match my apparent speed in the distance between the intersections was if they were in a something like a formula 1 car, where they were driving a VY executive.
So me and my lawyer met with the cops at the court before the start of the hearing and showed them the evidence. They realised I wasent Joe Bloggs who was gonna accept their BS so they dropped my apparent speed down to where I got away with alot less license loss and fine.
Its quite easy to prove wrong the cops 'estimate' of speeds if you know what your doing.
