  1. And even that performance thing doesnt ring too true with the new bread of local cars. If the fpv typhoon and new SS are both doing low 13's, thats enough to do away with a lot of standard skylines!

With the VE SS, exhaust, ecu and intake sees around 260rwkw and into the 12's over the 1/4.

  2. yep i still own and modd skylines

and i own them coz i never had troubles with them

so u dont even own the ve u drive well that says alot

but u will be kinda out of pocket coz if and when your ve does get a issue u will (or your company) will be with out a car unless u pay for a hire car through your dealership

and big deal about it winning some wheels thing they just drove it without something braking

I do own the car and it is in my name, and I can do anything to it, and sell it when i please. My company pays me an allowance which covers all the expenses of owning it. I looked at a variety of cars before I bought it, and I bought it as it suited my purposes for the job I am doing. If i have to take the car in to get repaired and it takes the whole day I get paid for that day etc etc etc. If i do need to have the car repaired for a few days we have a fleet of SR5 Hilux utes i could use.

Dont get me wrong, I do love my imports, but driving around a 300rwkw skyline for work and doing over 600km a week in travel aint practical

  3. get f**k u f**kin top bloke

how about u stop postin utter f**kin crap when u don know who i am and what i do

i dont oten come on this site as ppl like u make this site f**kin crap

if u think im talkin shit how about u ask your holden dealership the problems ive posted about diff noise i posted up for the vy-vz one tonner and crewman ,what about the vz fuel guage droppin to empty how u have to update the softwere in the vz using the standard sps and tech 2 and the tis 2000 to retifity the problem, or diff noise in irs vy from the trunnion/differential flanges

or how about i tell u how how your piece of shit ve communicates in the electrical system between the hs-gmlan and ls-gmlan and can system to the ecc/bcm pim, mdf, tpm, ebcm, sim, etc

how about your interior lamp setup (as its ambient light dependant)

or how your hvac and a/c system work through the 3 different levels

but then again im just a internet clown who doesnt know what he is talkin about :sorcerer: :)

Your use of the english language indicates ur a spanner monkey from way back right??? :(

So who are you and what do you do? And why do you still drive a 15 year old import???

And I as most got a free 5 warranty on our VE's so even if all the crap you have said is gonna happen to my car it will be fixed in the first 5 years. Anything that happens after 5 years is general weak and tear, so your constant bitching and ramblings on the VE really means shit all to anyone that actually owns ones, especially me as mines a company car so i loose out a total of $0.00!!! dancenana.gif After 5 years I will probably upgrade to something new anyway so it effects me even less that 0% care factor!!

I guess after it won the aus version of wheels PCOTY still makes it a piece of crap in ur expert eyes??? sm_sleep.gif

  4. i've owned 4 commodores, 1 brand new VT, 1 brand new clubsport, 1 secondhand VX berlina and 1 VS wagon, not one of them had diff trouble, so its not common as you might think. None of these cars actually had any problems, just normal service and wear and tear stuff like brakes and crap. Don't know where you get your info from but if you talk the truth show us the facts.

99.99% of what boot_it the clown is saying sounds like random internet crap he has found from various places and put together and tried to use as facts.

Its one thing to own the car and know the problems and another to speculate without knowing shit!!

  5. Yet ur choice of car is a 15 year old silvia/skyline???

    bahahahaha

I owned a 1990 Pimped Celsior for nearly a year also, it was nice, but you can tell its 15 years old when driving it.

People that dont even own a holden let alone a VE seem to be carrying on about it more than people that own them as its very easy to find the littlest thing to bag something!!

  6. id rather a thrashed 10-15yr old import than a 2000+ model commodore with more problems than u can poke a stick at

at least a 15yr old thrashed import can go more than 20,000km with out havin the diff replaced 3 times

and i will be the first to jump on the lets bash aussie car shit because u cant hide the facts that the commodore is a cheap crap overpriced poor quallity built car with a shit load of problems that they dont iron out between each series and models this is fact

even the vz with 1000km on the clock has a power steering leak (this to me is very poor quallity )only to get it fixed and have to come back in another 2000km to get the dash cluster recallabrated (as the fuel guage drops out when driving :) ) and other stupid things like having to fit a revised rear main seal to the v8s as that piss oil with very low milage, not to mention noisey diffs,,faulty door lock actuators ,faulty remotes ,thermo fans not switchin on ,bad earth connection for srs air bag (bad earth can induce a voltage setting the air bag off),noisey power steer pumps , the list goes on

who also designs a cooling system for the thermo fans to switch on at 105.c

so yes i have a reason to bag the commodore

so shall i start on the other models ie jackeroo, barina, vectra, rodeo

god its good to own a skyline/silvia compaired to this crap above

You seem to have the mentality of a typical silvia owner whos cars worth less than 10G but bags everything else on the road which you have never driven!!!

After 6 years of owning a R33 there are so many problems with it that if I took it back to Nissan I wouldnt get it back for a year

  7. I am taking my VE SS back next week to get it fixed. It take a whole 30 mins to do!!

No big deal as some of you on here are carrying on. Its mostly a safety thing, mine is not even leaking

    boot_it

where did you get all that bs info from? My car hasent got any of those problems. And yes I also have a R33 skyline aswell as the VE SS.

  8. hahaha any of you actualy still got your bikes or are they all f**ked now?

they are pretty cheap these days

I think eveyone sold theirs as did i agessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ago

  9. This doesnt only happen with jewish people - You should see what happens with curries too - if the daughter is dating a non-curry...its basically what you just heard in that link lol

I know alot of curries chicks that have gone as far as marry no-curries!!

Curry all the time is boring, you gotta eat other types of stuff 2 :)

  10. Travelled all over aus for work and spents months away at sites during installation and commissioning. Worst was 6 months away in cairns on a large project. Became a Qantas Gold Flyer in 6 months from joining.

Also spent months away in Taiwan and Vietnam for work previously also.

New job only have to travel around Victoria so I am happy.

  11. Lol god some people are sooks

I drive an R33, and listen to R32 drivers tell me that their car is superior to mine in every way including aesthetically , on a daily basis, including on this forum

Do I have a cry?

As for the comment about me taking a 6L V8...i'd take any car you gave to me....but if i was spending my own money on one, there'd be an F6 Typhoon parked in my driveway.

And who brought up AU? I said the VE is ugly imo. and they've ripped off the BA lights, and extremely similar roofline and side windows to the BA, which, surprise surprise, has a similar roof line and doors to the AU :)

If you can't take opinions from both sides of the fence, don't post photos of your car :w00t:

cry?? sm_rofl.gif I own an R33 also and know which car I like better.

hardly effects me if you dont like my car!!! bahaha

Anyway drives really nice, torque in every gear right throught the rev range and nice V8 rumble with the stock exhaust, and not as bad on petrol as I thought it would be.
