  1. Hi all, Would like local pick up, Wheels are two different colours (because race car). No nicks, bumps or dings. The Tires may have two or three track days in them, Please look at the photos. There is a cut in one of them, where the guard cut into it. Doesn't seem to do it any harm. I've done about 60 laps on QR with them. Pretty much you are getting them for free with the wheels. They are still soft. Please don'r ask if you have to roll the guards to make fitment. Any way specs Rota R17 x 9-1/2 Hoosier P295 - 35Z - R17 R3S05
  2. I use to play in the front row and love KFC and beer I also drive a r33. I'm not to worried about a couple of kg of wing : )
  3. USA ebay, Cheaper and it was here in a week. Track pig R33 GTST, with stock 188000km motor under stock boost. It must be working, it's red hot after I run it out on the track. Great for pre oiling, when you have not run the car for a while. I just used push-loc oil fittings and just dump the accusump line into the oil cooler. Plenty of people run the accusump without the check valve, the way I looked at it, the oil injected in will take the least path of resistance and the RB25 oil pump is a gear type, which shouldn't be affected by the oil been injected in.
  4. I've ran one now for a couple months. IMO, get rid of the check valve, don't worry about the solenoid vavle. I just run a manule isolator. Cheaper and fail safe. Works well for me
  5. Thanks for that, I may have found some, though. A bloke in Brisbane makes, wind turbines. Looks like, I can purchase a blade profile that will suit in 3 Meter lengths. I've got my chief engineer, with his slide rule looking it over as I type. Thanks again for the reply!
  6. Aluminium extrusions for rear wing racing car, I'm going to try and fab up a rear wing. Don't seem to be having any luck getting my hands on any. Does anyone sell it, or import it? In Australia Cheers
  7. Hi All, Well I took the boat to QR on Friday, to get a little seat time for the up coming QR300. After the car made and lasted the day, I entered the car in Outlaw sports and sedans. I figured I needed to get use to getting passed by much faster better drivers. Lets just say R1,R2,R3 I got my a$$ handed to me. Then the rain came down, I was lucky enough to have a mate who leant me a set of tires with some tread on them. I went from 2nd to last to 2nd in about 2 laps. I've never had so much fun!
  8. ^^^^ Once you have boost, you can't go back! Really starting to like the car. I've got a practice day out at QR on Friday so I'm looking forward to that. The problems, with the car, It's the price you play for having a bad a$$ RB on boost. As in fixing it, you could call it skillz if you like, It's more like, I'm a tight a$$. Going to start on the MS3 pro stand alone ECU, with Grant this weekend, if I don't blow up or wreak the boat. I've think I've/we have, worked out a way to use all the factory harness, with out having to chop the loom at all. 100% plug and play. We really f'd up, the first time, with the MS3. I have no idea what we were smoking, must have been good. MX5s are cool, track cars that is for sure, but if you want to go quicker, you need more HP, I was 7 seconds a lap quicker in the boat, on the national circuit, than in the MX5 and driving no where near as hard! So I'm happy
  9. ^^^^ Read the thread, sorry you had such a s#it time getting your cage. Just a small note, While ROPS is very important, one big thing you may want to think about is, side impact. This is far more likely than going over on your lid. Also if you are going to be running a harness, maybe think about a HANs. I was stupid enough to go out, without one on. 18 months later, my neck is still not right, and I ended up having 5k worth of eye surgery.
  10. Bloody hope not, it's got a near new Kaz 2 way!
  11. ^^^^ I was getting pretty close to throwing a match at it I ran it at lakeside, last saturday, with out a problem, all most felt like buying a lotto ticket on the way home. Nice to roll the car on to the trailer, with out a list of stuff to fix. I'm lucky enough to be running in the QR 300, in May. But the skyline was going to cost to much to mod and run. So I'm going to be in a mates 86, which should be fun. Fingers crossed I keep it out of the wall!
  12. Well changing a head gasket in r33 is about as much fun as a solid kick in the nuts! block looks good, Had Torque team do the machining of the head and manifold Head on a torqued down New exhaust studs New hoses under intake Fat fingers and Skyline intakes don't mix. Good news is I may have over tightened the cam belt! This would be one of the most shitty jobs I've ever done.
  13. I broke the car again... Head gasket what a P.I.T.A. AGI cage is great, the only problem I have is i'm quite a big person, 6'2 about 95kg. So I've had to mount the seat on the floor, so my head doesn't come in contact with the top of the cage. It's quite hard to get in and out of the car, because of the side bars, I'm going to get a removable steering wheel, which should help. I find it little hard to heal toe, because the cage sits in a little. But I'm going to mod the pedal. The fitment of the AGI cage is tops. Plus aussie made and owned.
  14. All set for another crack at QR tomorrow, fingers crossed the car will last the day Completed the exhaust. Installed a catch can. Really like the push loc fittings, much better IMO that S/S braided hoses, I'm thinking about running in PSRAQ, so I've got to install all the stock light fittings etc.Still carbon them up a little. I also was given a GOPRO for Xmas, but I have firm though's about posting footage online. I.E. IMO, it's a little like masturbating in public, it might make you feel good, but most people are going to think your a wanker! But most my mates think I'm a bit of a wanker anyway, so I may post something if I think is cool or if I crash,
  15. Thanks for the kind words, I let the rego lap’s. I've got a work ute there was need for it to have rego. I still run it up and down the road every once and a while, just for test hits. My last race/track car was, but it's a lot of money with rego and insurance to have sitting there. Better spent on go faster parts. I.M.O. Plus some QLD PD don't have a sense-of-humor. I was looking at an s14 or s15, but I just don't fit. I'm too tall. I only just fit in the r33 for head room. This is how I had my mx5 set up with the seat on the floor. LOL
  16. ^^^^ Thats for that, Nope I didn't rebuild the gearbox, A mate of mine has a 700 plus horse power R33 GTST. It ate this gear box, he had it rebuilt and didn't use it and went to a Sequential shift gear box. I'm under stock power, so this should be more than up for the task. Should be back down on the ground by Sunday fingers crossed.
