  1. When I tweaked my cover last week, it took some haggling to get them to come up in agreed value. The operator I was talking to said that she was "searching their database" and had found half a dozen 1989 R32 GTR Skylines all insured for around $12,000 - $14,000, so the figure I was asking for was "Probably at the cusp of too much". When I offered to send them receipts, photographs, build sheets etc, she came around a bit and ended up locking it in, but made it sound like she was doing me a personal favour. I know there are stock R32 GTR's out there in "average" condition that would have been purchased in the last few years before the price spike, but still... $12,000? I don't think so.

  2. I adjusted my policy today with NRMA VV&C after doing some work to the car. Still very easy to deal with.

However, it's worth noting that the woman I was speaking with said that next year they are changing everything up a bit. Most importantly is that they are going to do away with the 9000km a year limit, and change it to "Do you drive your car more than 10 times per month" .

I can see that being easier to manage, but will open the flood gates a bit I assume, and more customers = higher premiums I would be thinking.

Still, we'll see how it goes.

    Engine: 6.0 liter V8

    KMS: 145,000

Reason For Sale: Upgrading, Ordered a new SSV being delivered in a few weeks.

I am the second owner of this 2008 VE SS Commodore which I purchased in 2009. I have meticulously maintained this vehicle over the length of time I have owned it. The car has done mostly freeway kms from the southern highlands to Campbelltown. It has been regularly serviced and has had a very easy life. The car drives like a dream with great power from the V8 engine, and smooth gear changes from the automatic gearbox. The car is comfortable to drive on long or short trips, and still gets great fuel consumption. Using the multi-function steering wheel, listen to your favourite music and answer calls without taking your hands off the wheel. It has 18"alloy wheels with good/brand new tyres. Fresh brake pads and discs have been installed recently also. The car is equipped with ABS brakes. It has power door mirrors. This car has air conditioning, and cruise control. Makes phone calls safely and conveniently through the Bluetooth enabled audio system. Th car has electronic stability control (ESC). It has very comfortable seating for 5 and plenty of boot space for luggage. It has electronic brake force distribution (EBD). The car has remote central locking, front cup holders and 7 speakers. The car was serviced this week and will come with 6 months registration. The current registration plates (ZOE86B) are personalised and will be swapped for standard issue prior to sale.

  4. I know it hasn't quite been a year since the original poster put this up, but it's close enough to it. Thought I'd throw a current testimonial into the mix.

  5. They're called PAL fuses. There's tons on ebay.

Thanks mate - That was a huge help, I found some on eBay from the UK and ordered them.

    Just in case anyone searches the forum for similar in the future, here they are;

  6. Hey All,

Yesterday I blew an ignition fuse while I was out and about. Managed to swap it out with the ABS fuse to get home, but now need to replace it (and realistically, all the others).

I stopped in at Supercheap Auto, but they didn't have any... Any idea where to buy them from?

  7. GKTech are designing something.

In the meantime, Hardrace seem to be pretty decent. I have SRI (red ones) from JustJap, they've been working fine for a couple of years.

niZmO_Man to the rescue!! Came through with a set of Hardrace arms for me. Legend!

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I will still see what GKTech come out with, and/or go with UAS option in the long run, but these will certainly get me out of the tricky spot I am in.

  8. Yeah I am more and more leaning towards the UAS arms. I had decided to buy the HardRace ones today, to fit in the meantime until I could get my hands on the UAS set for the long term. However, I went to JDMYard today to buy them, only to be told a bloke had bought the last set earlier on in the day. So I am still without a set and looking to get something sorted. I've never organised (or even been part of) a group buy before, does anyone know what the go is? Got a contact at UAS? Forum member? I'm keen to get them asap. I have an event on 7th March I need the car set up well and truly before then.

  9. They are on the Hardrace site - http://www.hard-race.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_714_722&product_id=238

But I see your point about the design.

Imteresting. Hardrace don't show them on their own site.

Nevertheless, those are an example of the shitty option. The UAS ones are free to twist, so they unload the horrible loadings that occur in R32/Z32 upper arms. Especially when you wind in more caster with adjustable caster arms. That's why I said the only "respectable" arms were probably the UAS ones.

The Nismo copy ones that GK-Tech are supposedly going to make are the same idea as the UAS ones - they offer rotation around the centre pin.

  10. Hey all,

My R32 GTR has some pretty cheap adjustable upper camber arms on the front, which have always creaked and groaned for as long as I have owned the car. Today, the front left finally gave up the ghost and broke. (Luckily, just as I bumped up the driveway coming home and not on the M5 at 110km/h). So I am looking at replacing them with some quality bits.

Anyone have any suggestions / recommendations ?

The car is street driven, but I use it for track work and motorkhana competitions, so I like to be able to adjust the camber depending on the use.

I have flicked through the forum and searched, and read a few threads but they're all old and possibly outdated.

Any help would be great, cheers.
