Definitely on here, it was up recently but I can't find the post. I'll most likely still get the shit kit done while the valve body is out.
-
Read on here that the transgo shift kit isn't that good for the box.
-
Found out the valve body itself doesn't need any programming, it's the mechatronic unit attached to the valve body that needs to be programmed. Currently the mission is finding a new valve body and mechatronic assembly.

I've got a series 2 PM35 and I can tell you now that getting a new valve body isn't as easy as it seems. It might just be that I'm in the NT but my valve body has died on me and it's been a massive job trying to find a new valve body for the car. Only recently I found out that the valve body in a pm35 box has a mechatronic unit that needs to be programmed with the vehicles VIN number to work. Next was trying to find a new valve body assembly, couldn't find a shop in australia that could sell me one to suit my car. I finally found a company in Vic that had a contact in Japan, they found the part number I needed however nissan don't sell the valve body assembly anymore. The contact in Japan is now going to the manufacturers of the valve body and asking if it would be possible to get 1 more unit made. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem before but it's definitely putting me off keeping my stagea.

Pnm35 Power Loss And Louder Exhaust
tomo123 replied to Stag-do's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My PM35 is stuck in limp mode and the same P1759 Code came up aswell as P1757. After about 10 seconds of driving the car will kick itself into 4th and stay there until you turn it off. -
Would you have a link to your post?

Transmission specialist here is Mick Taylor, my car was sitting there for 2 months before I decided this is ridiculous. When I call back the nissan dealer ill tell them they should be able to do it in house, every company i call asks for my VIN though. As soon as they find out its JDM they can't do anything. Supposedly some computers have to be changed Leroy
-
I'm gonna go in and see Nissan personally, sick of calling around and getting half assed answers. By mechanic I mean a transmission specialist, he's the only one in darwin so gotta go see him if I want anything done in thay area. I'm actually not sure what gets programmed? Does the valve body assembly get programed or something else? Still waiting to hear back from a transmission place in Vic, gonna see if they can get the stuff programmed in Japan then sent over to Aus.
-
I contacted the nissan dealer here in Darwin, they also said they weren't able to program anything. If you can get in contact with your nissan mate and if it's possible to change the valve body without programming anything that would be great. I honestly can't tell you what the mechanic has done, im getting seriously pissed off because of the lack of information I'm getting from him.

Either the mechatronic or valve body unit needs to be programmed to the car using the VIN. No one in australia can do this
-
Mechanic couldn't do anything so I had a talk to wholesale automatic transmissions. They couldn't help me with my problem but they said they're gonna contact their Japanese associates and see what they can do for me. The problem I'm having is that the mechatronic unit in my box can only be programmed In japan, no Australian nissan dealers or workshop's can do anything.
-
Cheers Scotty, I'll have a talk to my mechanic tomorrow.

Fault codes that came up are: P1757 P1759
-
The car had this problem when it first came into Australia in June. I took it to get diagnosed and fault codes came up solenoids, it's at a transmission specialist at the moment but they've never seen anything like it before. The work is getting done under insurance so don't mind getting a whole new box if it comes down to it.
-
I presume it's in limp mode, when you first turn the car on it drives fine for about 30 seconds then it jolts and is stuck in 4th. The A/T light also lights up on the dash and yes, replacing the solenoids temporarily fixed the issue.
-
My 06 PM35 stagea is stuck in 4th gear, the mechanic tells me that I'll need a new valve body; however there's no Nissan dealers thay can programme the new valve body to my car. The importer replaced some solenoids in the gearbox when it was imported, they've stuffed up again that's the reason we think it's the valve body. Can't get another box because like before, it needs to be programmed to the car. Is there anyone in Aus that's replaced a PM35 VQ35 auto box.
-
Nice pictures, can't wait to see the car with the new shoe's though.

Car looks great mate, definatelly post some pics of it when you get your weds. My stag is the same, doesn't have the over fenders. I'm sure you can fit 11's under the guards but the hard part for me is figuring out how low on the offset I can go while clearing big brakes.
-
Great! That makes me happy knowing they're gonna fit pretty easily. You shouldn't have to much trouble finding struts to suit in the US. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely be getting the guards rolled and pumped as much as they can.
-
The 20's definitely fill the gaurds nicely. I'm not 100% sure on tire sizes yet but they'll most likely be 245-35-19 on the rears. The air struts are Airrex 350z ones and I'm using Accuair managment. The car is a RWD PM35 350RX

Wtb S2 M35 Grill
tomo123 replied to brendowade's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Wondering if there's PM35 autech grill floating around? -
Your mates car looks great, wouldn't mind seeing it in person
-
I understand that car is far from stock and no doubt it isnt using spacers, however there's alot of cars that do run them. I think I've found some offsets that I'll be able to work with though. 19x9.5 +10 and 19x 10.5 +15
