I have an Apexi ECV welded inline with my exhaust, so not the flange style The difference in noise is heaps, if you pull it up and drive with it on it sounds like a stock car with a standard exhaust Problem is the power restriction - it restricts the power heaps, I could barely make 5psi with the ECV activated where as when it was open it would make an easy 13psi The idea of it is to restrict the exhaust making it quieter but its not to be driven hard with it activated, so don't boost it or try and push the car hard as it won't go and could cause damage I'm sure Apexi advertise that it quietens down to 10db - I think that’s what it says on the box if I remember correctly

Not effected by the new laws but then again you can drive practically any powered vehicle on L's

Thanks for that Scott I've thought about making one my self but I CBF - it takes too much time and I don't get any time during the week, only on weekends generally I would prefer to get one made, that way I know it would be 100% approved and also of top quality not to mention neat and straight bolt in with no issues Would be preferable to just get one supplied as installation I would rather do my self and save some $money I’m pretty excited about this now! hahah thanks Roy I was wondering why nothing came up when I googled it - I was quiet confused lol

Flash tuner/edit Turbo back exhaust Injectors Fuel pump Upgrade the cooler Upgrade the valve springs It will make like 300rwkw + after the tune and above mods Take it to NIZPRO or HPF and they will fk it right up for you Even with just a generic flash tune/edit which is about $900 I think these days, will get it to about 248rwkw with everything dead stock Then get Kewish to build you a strong gear box and you will have a tuff streeter doing like 11 - 12 second passes oh and just for kicks upgrade to like a NIZPRO plenum and externally gate the standard manifold with a TURBOSMART progate All the best

Do you call up and make an appointment, explain to them you want to get the registration changed from a 4 seater to a 2 seater then just turn up on the day? I assume they physically check the car to make sure the belts have been removed as well as the seats but do they check anything else? What if your car is loud or low, pod and cooler for instance will they pick on those other things or just inspect the car and let you be? Any fee's involved? Thanks again

They won't start going through the car and start picking on other things will they? lol Also whats a cage like that worth?

A half cage like the above - is it legal for street use or does it have to be engineered? I have read on the VIC roads website a little about legalities of a half cage but I don't think the information was 100% clear, was a while back now too so I forget the specifics Can someone clarify?
