I had the same problem. Tried all options (moving earth point, new rca leads etc...) and nothing worked. The problem was that on my pioneer head unit RCA outputs there was no earth reference on the shield. So I soldered a copperwire onto the shield (earth) of both of the rca outputs and earthed it to the chassis of the head deck. No more noise. I'm not sure if my headdeck was faulty from factory as i and the other techs at work couldn't see a earth track to the circuit board. I have Audiobahn amps which are american(purchased at JB in Aus along with head deck) and the headdeck is australian. Not sure whether this had something to do with the problem as i've heard that some american cars are positive to chassis.

My stagea had the nissan 2 pin plug for the aerial feed.

I've already got the blue twisted pair RCA's, tried changing the amps over, tried moving RCA's further away from Power cables to amps. Tried a noise suppresor which didn't work. I did talk to one of our service technicians at work and he said that most car amps have a power inverter with a noise suppresor in it, he thinks that a spike with the power could have possibly blown the noise suppresor or damaged the inverter which could possibly cause the noise. Does anyone know of any good Car amp repairers on the Gold Coast in QLD?

I just looked through my 258 page Stagea manual and could not find a button marked Light Reduce. Good luck finding out!!

Hi All, I got a problem with engine noise coming through my front pioneer splits. I have the power running down one side of the car and the signal cables on the other side. I have checked the earth (and moved it) of the amplifier running it many times. My setup goes like this Pioneer Headeck running 6"'s for rear fill (no noise), Remote going to amps with RCA line outs also going to amps. Then I have a monoblock audiobahn amp running my 2 * pioneer 12" Subs<- seems to be no whine coming from the subs, most likely due to the low pass filter. I have the main signal cable coming into the monoblock then paralled out of the monoblock into the other 2 chan audiobahn amp. I have 4 gauge running from bat to a split where i have 1 * 4AWG cable and 1 *8AWG cable from the split running to my amps. The amps have different earthing points. The Remote on cable is part of the shielded signal cable which also goes into the monoblock and parallels to the 2 chan amp. The signal cable has a Left right and remote cable. The noise gets louder when i have aircon, wipers or lights on and always with acceleration. Which leads me to the possibility of a dirty acc signal. Is this possible? The signal cable does run past a computer, but other than that its free from power cabling. Oh by the way it is a Nissan Stagea RS four V. Any help much appreciated as I think i'm going to crack. :bonk: :bonk:

Yeah I had a 4 wheel drive come over a while ago and it came with a panasonic home hi fi in the boot running off of an inverter. Got to install my sound system this weekend

I've also seen that unmarked camry a couple of times on the logan toll motorway pulling people over. These unmarked vehicles harassing people in my opinion is nothing but entrapment. They are the devil luring innocent people into their traps. You just gotta be smarter. I think the best way to get out of something is to know your rights as a driver like skylinegeoff did. Cops in my experience start to get worried when you know your rights.

I imported it myself, Hey Mad Wagon did you get yours from preferred autos on bribane road, my dads cousin works there, I think i may have seen your car on their lot. Currently its with Ernest (my compliance man) at Skyline imports in brisbane (southside) So i got to go get it and rego it on thursday providing the plate arrives on time. The only problem is i'm working most of the weekend! GRRR Last fri night I was mixing for some international Bosnian band at Southport sharks til like 2 in the morning then worked all saturday. This saturday i gotta work most of the day then have to DJ at some function at the casino til like 3:30am on sun morning. Hmm could be a sleepless weekend. Must go cruzing sunday arvo maybe. Got mods to start and stereo to install aswell. At least i'll have it in my hot little hands. Then I can truly become part of the club.

Hey all, After a long wait I finally got the call from Ernest my compliance guy saying that the car is complied and has just sent away the paperwork for the plate. I have purchased a few mods already and was wondering what mods should come first. To give you all an idea i already have bought the following items, 18" Nismo mags BOV Front mount intercooler (from shift) ex a/m GTR Turbo Timer I really got to get a pod filter and mad wagon has given me some details on a place to get an exhaust from the turbo back. Another friend also suggested that i may need to get a boost control of some kind due to pressure being lost in the intercooler cause its much bigger than the stock one. Any other mods to start??

I got one too. I like all of the pictures Very amusing. I also like the don't push the acccelerator down too fast or you may loose control. Gotta love the translation. Can't wait til they (if ever) produce a wrokshop manual.
