  1. try and get a hold of he original cin (consumer information notice) I have a had a few people in nsw have to provide it when interstate rego transfering
  2. car has to go over the pits when it gets here , that can be anything from basic roadworthy stuff to fully standard no modifications depending on inspector on the day if its something nice and tidy and reasonable should be no issue cost wise on top of that transport here , transfer of ownership , 6 months rego , temporary movement permit and inspection fee . you might get a refund on the existing interstate rego .
  3. "Extra information [There is restoration]" i wonder if that translates to there is repair and when it gets here for compliance I crush it into a cube for you.....
  4. hi yall have a r33 gtr here with a strange engine number :703144X Ive never seen a 26 with an X suffix and 703 is a strange number also , they are generally linear numbers. Engine does look like its been out, car had other expensive stuff but engine is basically stock externally.
  5. what is the chassis number stamped on the firewall and does it look tampered with in anyway ?
  6. or if in Melbourne shot 8 times! I always advocate to turn the car off (turbo timers have off buttons) , get out , walk to the cops , intercept them between you and the car . Be nice , friendly , try your best to be polite and articulate and appear sound and sensible . First impressions count the most , if you can intercept them before they get to your car and establish a great first impression this will help immensely . it helps a lot if you dont look anything like this guy
  7. jpc in osborne park had one but I didnt see if it was djetro alternatively for the same price as djetro , probably cheaper check this out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sk...html&hl=ecu much more featured ecu last one on stock if you want it now
  8. if it was sold as an uncompilable vehicle and you knew , thats the end of it . If your were misled your going to need PROOF it wasnt to have any sort of case. technically its a illegal to sell the uncomplied vehicle but it seems dotars just like the say that a lot and never really do anything to anyone who does sell them especially members of the public. this would only result in a fine to the seller , not your money back anyway you need to prove these goods were not as described and fit for purpose . if you cant PROVE it was sold as a compliable road registerable car its not going to go anywhere. and unfortunetly it could be rebirthed under sevs , as long as its new identity is allready complied and registered .
  9. get a leak down test its an old r32 , there getting old and tired its no super mystery!
  10. Bar and Plate or Tube and Fin? Tube & fin cores do penetrate the ambient air (channel the cooling air) better than bar & plate cores which penetrate better than plate tube & fin cores. Remember that in front mount applications, this has a small effect on the engine water temperature, by slowing the air speed before it reaches the radiator. This is because the rounded leading edge of the tube & fin tube parts the air with less turbulence than the square leading edge of the bar & plate tube, which parts the air with less turbulence than the "W" shape of the tube & fin tube. The following drawings illustrate the turbulence caused by the three tube shapes. Tube and Fin Bar and Plate (below) Plate Tube and Fin (below)
  11. faulty steering wheel position sensor , steering wheel not centered correctly or no speed sensor input if you have an aftermarket steering wheel without a hicas compatible boss kit it happens on the fwy because you have not moved your steering wheel in a while and there has been no steering input for the pre-determined amount of time to trigger the hicas error very common search for more info if you need it
  12. it will always clunk just the same way it is clunking now so i hope you dont mind it
  13. personally 7 GTA defeats the purpose of evo which is track weapon v35 offers no where near the performance but is such an amazingly well built and appointed car its just a pleasure to drive every time I get in one dont get hung up on the brembos , they are quite small , smaller than gtr brembos . while a big improvement on the non brembo v35 brakes I still find them a bit too small for serious work . good option if your v35 has them , dont fret too much if it doesnt . long story short . v35 .
  14. were selling for 1650 hoping to have the 1st few installed and tuned next week
  15. the 16 filter numbers and nissan oem part numbers from memory air filter "generic" part number is a360 and fuel is z201 if you resonably confident the compliance workshop did their job then leave them for a while . cat and charcoal cansister leave for another 80000km you dont have to get a ryco filter , z145 is a ryco part number but any filter brand will have a corrisponding part for z145 clutch fluid, gear box oil, diff oil, power steering oil, coolant flush are not dont usually at compliance , but some do . change them and check the plugs , replace if necessary . if your fussy that is
  16. Now, firstly I'm looking at getting it intercooled.. Autoworx does the Greddy Spec-M kits for a grand installed.. Looks good to me, never been a fan of china kits. However, I've heard they are bar and plate, which is an older design for intercoolers... - Bar and plate is not "older design" , tube and fin is not "better" there both different . and not really that different . an mspec will be perfect for your plans . you can fit it yourself , everything is included , brackets , instructions . there 650 supplied. get some mates and a carton , youll have it done by the end of the day if your not too bad Secondly, exhaust, I've been trying very diligently to get a hold of a Kakimoto N1 mega, however, he lack of availability is making this an impossible option, I've now looking at either a Greddy PEII once again, or sourcing myself a Kakimoto Regu-6 muffler and getting Kermit to fit me a custom turbo-back... I've heard some wonderful reviews about Kermit's work, can anyone make any other suggestions... Also, what sort of cat coverter should I get? Catco? Metalcat?? - custom exhaust is always expensive . perhaps jap catback with china front/dump . also weigh up if its worth paying double or triple for an expensive cat over a xforce or just jap to chase a few extra kw , money better spent elsewhere . dont gut your stock cat , the 2.25 inch inlets are way to restrictive even with an empty inside . get an xforce 3 or 3.5 inch cat and gut that for flames or just decat pipe and police be dammed . peII is mild steel with stainless cannon . suggest fujitsubo for jap full stainless . Pod filter or no? Box the pod or leave as is?? - pod . makes things tidier , especially with fmic piping and in the future possibly custom intake piping for your big turbo plans. dont box the pod yet as you dont know what else is going in that area yet , partition would be sufficient for the fussy
  17. if a business shuts down owing money you will have to join the list of creditors and get like 1c in the dollar or whatever they can get out of them . and that would take years. i hate to say it but i think youll have to kiss the $$$ goodbye
