  1. this seems very worthwhile, did it cost much to use the dyno twice for the testing process? I haven't done this before so I am interested in the total outlay of funds for the whole project...
  2. if you dont mind me asking, how much for the work?
  3. it looks pretty nice and smooth, the front needs to scoop down lower but that may be the angle of shot combined with the cars suspension at work in that shot... looks a little bit 'camry' though! 6.5/10 but i think it would grow on me....
  4. so if you have your cruise control switches on your original steering wheel, is there a way to keep that function if you change steering wheels for an aftermarket job? I'm sure some of you have come across this dilemma before. cheers cefironites.
  5. nice work dude! track looks pretty tight... not much run off area ay!
  6. i like that you can swear your ass off, then shove a screwdriver into some unsuspecting guards kidney, after you just twisted his mates head off from behind. good game, but too short.
  7. sounds like fun, I'd like to come see what these crazy drift monkeys can do, though I won't be thrashing mine out there! I like my cefiro as a daily driver not a mechanics financial wet dream...... :Bang:
  8. I'd say thats the way to go, and pull off the mud guards.... will look heaps better without them anyway
  9. under body shots as requested :
  10. make sure its not your mud flaps those things hang quite low and make a surprisingly nasty noise. If it is your exhaust, what height are you at? It looks pretty low from the pics I have seen (if mem serves me correctly). i don't have a cannon style muffler, I have a stock looking end - that might be a better option, but first, where does yours actually get scraped?
  11. white cars come out so many bloody different colours in photos!
  12. ended up getting about 2inches lower, guards just above the wheels now. Looks so much better. the equipment ended up being a mix of 200SX and s13 fitments, plus the electronic adjustment function of the suspension was removed up front.... kept at the back for a tidbit of extra adjustment. used sports ryder coil springs, new struts and replaced all radius rod bushes (they were farked).... much nicer now, but big speed humps scare me. got a bit of the ol grind going - so I am going to cut down the mud flaps and maybe put a brace protector over the exhaust at its lowest point like I did on my ol truck - its a great way to protect your new turbo back exhaust from getting squished! I will have some photos in an hour or so when my furkin camera finished charging. so much for not spending money on the ceffy! if anyone wants the product codes for the exact bits you will need to drop a stock ceffy just ask I have them here today.
  13. so did you just disconnect the wires running into it, remove the box and discard, or was there wires that then had to be reconnected without the box in the middle... I want to take it out asap! Oh and did someone remove the reversing beeper? It's beginning to bug me.
  14. that could be cool. what is OP for this drift scene newbi...
  15. finding those two bolts hidden in the bottom of the pull down middle seat was the biggest stumper ay!!! that took us a while.... did you install your sub in the middle there? did you face it into the body or away? i found the sub worked best facing the spare wheel arch oddly enough. so its sideways when you open the boot!! hehehe
  16. i know. sorry steve... lol I did like the racing harts. I think I want something chunkier though.... the offsets 4 x 114 on cefiros right?
  17. I loved the stance of this ceff (props to the owner!), so I thought i'd muck around with it abit today over lunch, trying to decide on some wheels for my own ceffy. These are alba's... nice wheels. what do you think about these rims? Luke
  18. I got the cefiro on the weekend finally! first thing I did after my 2 hour rego (bloody rta poindexters) I forked out for some audio gear and spent the weekend ripping apart teh interior and putting it all in. very happy with the cef, it drives beautifully and cleaned up very well.... after 5 hours of labour.... man there was a lot of crap in the door jambs... result: I found a couple of yen coins, a flare that quickly got burnt and lots and lots of old audio cables... attached to nothing but left in the dash and under seats. the cef feels very light (great power steering) and has a very comfortable interior... I am surprised in all I have read online about cefs that no one really mentioned how cruisey these cars are inside, I have a blackish interior but it seems to be tinted with red from sun rays over time... odd. I didn't realise from the dealers pics that the white paint has a pearl effect through it? does everyone else with white cefs have that? I couldn't tell if it was post purchase paint...
  19. all sorted. got to love the jap cars build quality, taking apart, and reassembling the cefiro was not too bad (compared to other cars I have done) all i had to do was reverse the removal order to make everything fit back together perfectly. the real bitch with the cefiro was the parcel shelf, ended up having to take the entire back seats out to get the shelf off. stupid air cleaner thingy was in the way. will post up some pics of the work in a bit thanks for the assistance!~
  20. Anyone out there know the trick to removing the centre console on a Cefiro to install a new Head Unit?? I cant seem to locate any clips/screws ect for the unit that surrounds the gearstick. (it appears that this is the first peice which will allow access to mounting screws for the rest)
  21. classic. so I guess no ones done this themselves then? hmmm. well I would like to hear what your mechanic says pimp, and how mucho deniro it cost you to get it removed! what were they thinking, a turbo 6 with a beeper at a measly 100kms an hour.... random q, what is the max speed limit on jap freeways? 110??
