  1. I'm sure if you took a sample bolt into a decent fasteners place, they would have something that'd work for you.
  2. One not oiled. If you're in Perth I have a bolt on HKS pod setup for sale
  3. Black S2 Stag with an Xspeed sticker in the rear side windows parked near me at Morley Galleria Then Silver V35 behind me going onto Walter Rd Both ~7pm
  4. Welcome, and always keen to see pics
  5. Had the same happen in my old 180 quite a few years ago, managed to limp it home though being careful with gear changes. Just had the bracket welded back up, and all was fine.
  6. Yeah, should be pretty easy to do. Just take it out, give it a good clean with contact cleaner, let it sit to dry and put back in.
  7. Overboosting is usually caused by a dodgy boost controller, or when you have the stock set up could be vacuum lines not set up correctly. I'd say it's either your coilpacks or AFM though. Easiest/cheapest option would be try to give the AFM a good clean with contact cleaner first.
  8. Looks nice, needs moar pics
  9. Nah, I've ditched the ecu controlled stuff, blocked off the line going to the bov return, and just have a vacuum line straight from the intercooler pipe to the actuator.
  10. Yeah, just the actuator from one.
  11. Is it only in 1st? K&N pods are oiled, and have had bad experiences of the oil on them getting on the afm hotwire, a spray with a bit of electrical contact cleaner helps that out. Other things are make sure it's not overboosting and hitting boost cut (could be a line disconnected/not plumbed right), or other things I'd check are change spark plugs, if they're new, could be coilpacks giving out under load.
  12. Even better, ditch the factory boost control setup, and swap out the actuator for one off an rb20 turbo, 10psi Did it over the weekend on mine, was easier than I expected (never done anything like that), and is much better. Being S2 you already have an R34 intercooler, which is more than up for that amount of boobst.
  13. This morning picked up my private plates, WGN034
  14. Yeah, believe it was an option at the time. My Stagea has privacy glass on everything behind the front windows too. If you can get something from Nissan stating this, and something from a tinting place saying that there is no tint on there, that it is the glass itself, you might get lucky and be let off for it.
  15. Thanks, dump pipe's next on the list. Has factory Nismo option exhaust on it, and like how quiet it is, so wanting to keep that, at least until my daughter's quite a bit older. Just wanted to make it a bit more fun for occasionally giving it a little on the way to work and back
  16. Busy day today, gave the car a service, and while I was at it, fitted up: Fumoto Oil Drain Valve R34 Intercooler 10psi Actuator Yellow Jackets Coilpacks Replaced the HKS pod that came with my car with a stock airbox and Apexi filter And gave my AFM a quick clean with contact cleaner
  17. Letter drop maybe? Envelope w/ keys and location in it? But yeah, would think if somebody just walked in and said here's the keys and location of a stolen car, they'd have some questions about it.
  18. Good to hear mate, hope it's still in reasonable nick.
  19. But the R33 is far 'cooler' than both, even if it's a povo one
  20. Yeah, so long as you maintain them right, they are great cars. Have known people who have complained about them, but they are the sort of people who thrashed it and didn't maintain it right (this was a turbo model though, which the above one isn't), but my old 33 GTST copped a hiding most weekends and never skipped a beat, I just maintained it right and gave it decent quality oils and filters. Unless he neglects it, the worst your son is possibly going to do is thrash the auto box out, but if he's sensible as he should be if he's trying to get into a respectable government job then he shouldn't have any problems. Just be prepared to give it a good service when he gets it, and service it every 3 months / 5,000km's, don't skimp on oil and filters, and it'll be a great car.
  21. Mine's a S1, but figure should be the same. When I got mine, it had top of solenoid going to bov return piping, then: Cooler pipe (boost feed) - Left entry of T piece Bottom of solenoid - Bottom of T piece Actuator - Right entry of T piece
  22. In an RB20E, redlining from most intersections would be called trying to keep up with traffic
  23. Why wouldn't it be a good idea? Unless he drives like a twat, he'll be fine.
  24. Budget R31's did (was a step above the CA18S models), pretty sure povo spec R32 and 33 did as well
