Old thread I know but something to point out: For step 6) - Series one motors have FIVE bolts holding them in, not 3 like series 2s. I found four, missed one, and bent the rail slightly when I tried to pull it out

So, looking at fast, looks like the difference is between series one and series 2. Wonder if I can fit a series 2 one with no issues?

I had a print out of a tutorial i found on here, but pictures were small and in b&w so hard to see. They said to remove 3 bolts holding the rail in then pull it out... I actually found 4 bolts, then I tried to pull it out. Turns out there was 5... one was nicely hidden :(

f**king bent the fuel rail taking it out, and lost one of the little plastic washer things . FML. Anyone have a spare RB25 fuel rail? Or do you reckon it will straighten up when I tighten it back down?

Morning Mangs, 10 hours work yesterday, f*cking sucks. Be quiet Colin . Ahh, the old 'bolt sent from satan and placed by nissan at the top of the gearbox'. Or 'bolt of satan' for short. Dan's trick for getting that is have the shifter removed and tilt the back of the gearbox as far down as possible, then you can drop in from the cabin through the shifter hole with a ratchet and yeah lots of extensions and you should be able to get it easy. Super cheap sell extensions pretty cheap. I'll try to bring some tonight if you are coming, not sure how many i can spare though (I'll need one or two for the weekend to pull my turbo off). To go at it from underneath, you really need something like 5/8ths with wobble joints, and its a real prick. +1 Nice. Chapel Hill +1 People can't merge anywhere. EOF
